
Donovan Mitchell Hyped by NBA Fans After Cavs Beat Pacers, Get Back on Track in Game 3
The Cleveland Cavaliers bounced back on Friday night, defeating the Indiana Pacers by the final score of 126-104 in Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.
Led by 43 points from Donovan Mitchell, the Cavaliers avoided falling into a disastrous 3-0 series hole and now trail 2-1.
Cleveland started Friday's contest on a high note, taking a 25-10 lead early in the first quarter. Indiana came back to tie the game at 32-32 before the end of the period, though.
The Cavs quickly jumped back in front with a dominant second quarter, outscoring the Pacers 34-13. Cleveland took a 66-45 lead into halftime and would maintain a double-digit advantage for the rest of the game.
Mitchell was efficient throughout his 43-point night, shooting 14-of-29 from the field and 5-of-13 from behind the arc. He also racked up nine rebounds, five assists and one steal.
Fans were impressed with Mitchell's heroics.
Cleveland's frontcourt was stellar throughout the game, as Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen combined to record 37 points and 25 rebounds.
Max Strus also chipped in with 20 points and seven assists, shooting 4-of-8 from three-point territory.
Crashing the glass was key to the Cavaliers' success, as they grabbed 18 offensive rebounds compared to Indiana's four offensive boards.
For the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton had a quiet night. Haliburton scored just four points and dished out five assists on 2-of-8 shooting.
Cleveland will now attempt to tie the series in Game 4 on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
