Warriors' Draymond Green Rips 'Sucker' Dillon Brooks for Actions After Game 7 Loss
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was not impressed with Dillon Brooks' decision to skip out on handshakes after the Houston Rockets were eliminated from the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs with Sunday's 103-89 Game 7 loss.
"Dillon Brooks ran off the court. So when I see when I say you see what guys is made of, he ran off the court. Like, ain't shake nobody up," Green said at the 10-minute mark of Tuesday's episode of The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.
Green continued: "That's who Dillon Brooks is, you know what I'm saying? We understand, you a sucker, man."

New NBA Anti-Tanking Reform
Brooks was held to eight points on 3-for-9 shooting from the field in Sunday's elimination loss.
Green was especially unimpressed with Brooks' reaction, given his response to a question as to whether he was deliberately trying to target Steph Curry's injured thumb after the Rockets' Game 5 win.
Brooks, who called Green a dirty player earlier in the series, said in response that "if I had an injured ankle, I would attack that ankle every single time, so whatever they're saying on the broadcast they can keep saying it."
The Rockets player was wearing sunglasses during that presser.
After the Warriors' Game 7 win, Curry wore sunglasses in his own postgame interview, a move Green applauded on Threads with a string of laughing emojis.
"You admitted that you was trying to hurt Steph's hand, which again— fine by me, bro. I get it. We all get it, when you hoop," Green said on his podcast. "If you going to be on that type of time, wear shades in the press conference, you gonna be talking, you gonna be Mr. Bad Wolf, don't lose and then not face the music. Don't be that guy.
"You lose a lot of respect for guys, in that moment."
Green then referenced the comments he made ahead of playing Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies in March 2023, when he told Brooks the Grizzlies' dynasty would "start after you, not with you."
"The reason I said that is because things like that," Green said on Tuesday.
Green concluded: "Dillon Brooks couldn't come through in this series, in large part because nobody on the court respects you. So, anything you do, the way it's going to be looked at, the way it's going to be received— it ain't beneficial to your team when you trying to win championships."
Green then expressed support for 23-year-old Rockets forward Tari Eason, saying he didn't see Eason on the court after the game but dapped him up on his way out of the building.
"Tari Eason, I still got still got love and respect for here, young fella," Green said. "But I'mma tell a young fella, don't be like that. Don't follow clowns. Be careful following clowns."
Green and Curry will now turn their attention from trolling green to focusing on taking on Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game 1 of the second-round series tips off Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET.
