ESPN's Shams Charania reported Thursday afternoon that Arenas had been hospitalized in stable condition.
The Los Angeles Police Department said officers reported to the scene at 4:55 a.m. PT.
Citing LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes, the Los Angeles Times' Ryan Kartje, Eric Sondheimer and Richard Winton reported Arenas was "pulled from the wreckage and taken to a hospital."
Based on an early investigation, the Times reported police don't believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The California native announced in January he intends to stay home for college and picked the Trojans.
Head coach Eric Musselman expressed his support for the Arenas family following Thursday's crash.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Alijah and his family following this morning's accident," Musselman said. "Please keep him, his teammates and friends, and the entire Arenas family in your prayers."
