Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest David De Gea, Keylor Navas, Isco Rumours
Real Madrid’s backup goalkeeper Keylor Navas is the latest name to be hauled into the David De Gea transfer saga, with reports suggesting Manchester United are keen on the Costa Rica international as part of any deal for their Spanish stopper.
According to Jose Luis Calderon of Marca, Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal was keen on signing Navas last season, and if he was to be included in the deal, it would reportedly “grease the wheels” in Los Blancos’ pursuit of De Gea.

Bleacher Report’s Sam Tighe claimed earlier this year that any deal involving the former Levante stopper would be tremendous business for United:
Navas’ situation is a curious one at Real. As noted by Marca, Iker Casillas has agreed to a deal to join Porto, meaning the first-choice goalkeeping jersey is up for grabs at the Santiago Bernabeu. But to this point, it remains unclear which man will face the unenviable task of filling the void that’ll be left by the Los Blancos legend.

Indeed, according to AS English, the farewell for Casillas is already being arranged:
The man widely tipped to fill one of the goalkeeping spots was Espanyol’s Kiko Casilla, but Joan Collet, the Catalan club’s president, has denied he will be sold, per Didac Piferrer of Marca:
"There's nothing there. I'm surprised. I'm not sure if I should say gobsmacked. I haven't negotiated with anyone. Neither with representatives, nor with the player. I don't know where the figure comes from. I don't know if something will come up tomorrow, although I doubt it. There won't be anything if we're speaking about those figures [€3-5 million].
Everything that's being said is false. I categorically deny it. We haven't even sat down to negotiate.
"

Navas is a goalkeeper that’s too good to be sitting on the bench, and while he’s not the most high profile of names, he’d be a tremendous purchase for the Red Devils. At this juncture, it’d be a wise move from Van Gaal to include him in any potential deal.
With just one year remaining on his deal with the Red Devils, Real will surely feel confident of getting De Gea on board.
Indeed, while Navas is a tremendous stopper and Casilla is a dependable option, the Spanish international is the perfect candidate to step into the gap left by Casillas, and it’d be no surprise if the capital club were to get moving on a deal as soon as the departure of the legendary ‘keeper is confirmed.
William Carvalho, Isco Deals Rumoured

The Los Blancos midfield could be set to take on a fresh new look for the 2015-16 season, with rumours emerging regarding the potential purchase of William Carvalho and a possible pursuit of Isco from English champions Chelsea.
Taking the Carvalho story first, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola (h/t Portuguese football journalist Jan Hagen, via Nicholas Rigg of AS), the Sporting Club youngster will join Los Blancos as soon as Asier Illarramendi leaves the club:
Carvalho was impressive at this summer’s European U21 Championship, dominating midfield battles with his strong somatotype and providing an unshakeable base for Portugal to launch attacks from.
As we can see here, courtesy of the tournament’s official Twitter feed, Carvalho was named the standout performer in the championship:
He’s the kind of player who ticks all of the boxes for pragmatic new manager Rafael Benitez, who will surely look to inject some sturdiness into a midfield that was a little flimsy at times last season. Tighe is a big fan of the Sporting star:
But if added defensively solidity is the order of the day for the Madrid boss, what will that mean for players such as Isco—especially, if as reported by Italian newspaper La Stampa (h/t Anthony Chapman of the Daily Express), Chelsea are willing to sell one of their key men to get him on board.

According to the piece, the Blues will let Oscar go to Juventus if they can land the Spanish international and have already had a £20 million bid rejected. As we can see here, courtesy of WhoScored.com, Isco would add an intricate edge to Chelsea’s play:
If Carvalho does join and Benitez opts for substance over style in the middle of the park, then players such as Isco and James Rodriguez could find themselves on the fringes of the side a lot more than usual.
But focusing on the former Malaga man, he’s proven himself to be an adaptable talent capable of fulfilling various roles. As such, Benitez will surely see Isco as a key member of his squad moving forward, and with that in mind, it’s going to take a much more substantial offer from the Blues if they are to appropriately test Real’s resolve.
