Giannis Responds to LeBron James Saying He'd Score 250 Points in 1970s NBA Game
Giannis Antetokounmpo was flattered by LeBron James saying he could score 250 points in an NBA game in the 1970s, but he also acknowledged the difference in approaches to the sport between the different eras.
Speaking to reporters after the Milwaukee Bucks' 116-107 loss to the New York Knicks on Friday, Antetokounmpo initially joked he would "probably" score more like 275 points in a game in the '70s before diving into the differences in the sport from then to now.

James made his comment about how current NBA players would dominate stars from the past during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
While it's easy to say James' opinion is correct because the NBA in the '70s and '80s didn't have athletes anywhere near the caliber of the best players today, Antetokounmpo is also right that comparing eras is impossible because so many things are different.
If players from past generations had the same access to health, training and nutrition that today's stars do, who is to say the things we marvel at today wouldn't have been happening decades earlier?
On the flip side, if you take away the medical care, training and nutrition athletes today have, they would probably be closer to the level they were at 40 years ago.
