Steph Curry Jokes Draymond Will Keep 25K Ball, 'Heard He Has' Kevin Durant Memorabilia
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry provided some insight into his plans for the game ball after he scored his 25,000th career point in a 115-110 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.
Curry's longtime teammate, Draymond Green, obtained the game ball for him, and Steph told reporters (beginning at the 25:15 mark of the video) after the game that he would let Green keep it for now, saying: "He's going to keep it for me. I heard he has a little bit of KD's memorabilia."

The 36-year-old Curry indicated that Green is in possession of the game ball their former Warriors teammate, Kevin Durant, used to break Team USA's all-time Olympic scoring record at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Curry said Green is "collecting stuff for all of his teammates," and added with a smirk that he'll "come back and get" his 25,000th-point ball from Green "eventually."
In addition to being the NBA's all-time leader in career three-pointers made, Curry is now the 26th player in league history to cross the 25,000-point threshold.
Curry accomplished the feat during the third quarter of Saturday's victory when he fittingly nailed a trifecta to tie the game.
Steph led all scorers in the game with 32 points on 8-of-22 shooting from the field and 12-of-12 shooting from the free-throw line, while adding four assists and three rebounds.
Green hit a go-ahead triple with 35 seconds left in the game, while Curry put the game on ice by going 4-for-4 on free throws in the waning seconds.
The Warriors are among the hottest teams in the NBA, having won nine of their past 10 games, which has pushed them into the all-important sixth seed in the Western Conference.
As for Curry, scoring point No. 25,000 is set another accolade in a career that has been chock full of them.
Curry is an 11-time All-Star, two-time NBA MVP, two-time scoring champion, four-time NBA champion and one-time NBA Finals MVP, making him a clearcut, first-ballot Hall of Famer.
The only question now is how much further Curry can move up the all-time scoring list between now and the time his illustrious career comes to an end.
