Breaking Down Bayern Munich's Pre-Season Friendly Opponents
Bayern Munich may not be waiting to dive into the transfer market this summer, having already acquired Douglas Costa from Shakhtar Donetsk, but manager Pep Guardiola will have to wait until next week before he can begin playing around with his evolving side.
The German champions won't play their first competitive match of the new season until Saturday, August 1, when they will play Wolfsburg in the German Super Cup, but long before that will be a whole host of friendlies during which the Bayern coach can test and play around with his squad and tactics.
Here is a breakdown of the coming foes over the next month of exhibition matches.
Augsburg
In a more reserved tie to kick off the club's pre-season matches, Bayern will welcome fellow Bundesliga side Augsburg to the Allianz Arena on July 12.
The fellow Bavarian side were undoubtedly one of the most impressive teams in the German top division last season and under manager Markus Weinzierl have proven to be a capable team that can cause even Bayern problems.

Valencia
Valencia will travel to Munich with their heads held high on July 18 following a successful season under manager Simoes Espirito Santo which saw the Spanish side finish fourth in La Liga and pick up the final Champions League spot.
The Oranges have wasted little time preparing for European competition with the acquisition of Rodrigo Moreno, Andre Gomes and Joao Cancelo of Benfica, Santi Mina of Celta Vigo and, of course, Phil Neville as their new assistant manager.
This is a team certainly on the rise that will hope to challenge Bayern man-for-man on the day.
Inter Milan may yet prove to be the most interesting opponents of Bayern's pre-season travels, with the Italian club spending a fortune on new players this summer.
According to Transfermarkt, the Serie A side have spent no less than £43 million in the past six months on signing young talents Geoffrey Kondogbia, Davide Santon and Jeison Murillo as well as concluding the deal for former Bayern youngster Xherdan Shaqiri.
Although the Italian giants haven't quite looked themselves in recent seasons, having finished eighth in last year's campaign, they should undoubtedly offer plenty for Guardiola to think about as he continues to experiment with his side before their first competitive fixture.

Guangzhou Evergrande
Bayern's final clash will come against Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, who pose an unknown quantity that could well test Guardiola's side on the day.
As many fans know, the Chinese side seem to know no limits to their bank accounts, with transfers in recent years including genuine European pedigree such as Paulinho of Tottenham fame as well as Alessandro Diamanti and Alberto Gilardino from Fiorentina.
This is a fascinating tie that could well prove to be quite the spectacle for the Allianz Arena faithful.
