A.J. Dybantsa to Pelicans, Cameron Boozer to Jazz in ESPN's 2026 NBA Mock Draft
Even though the 2025 NBA draft hasn't happened yet, ESPN's Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo are already taking a look ahead to the 2026 class.
In their very early top-10 mock draft released Wednesday, A.J. Dybantsa and Cameron Boozer came in as the No. 2 and 3 picks, behind Darryn Peterson at the very top of the class.
Here's the full top-10 list released by Givony and Woo:
- Washington Wizards: Darryn Peterson, G
- New Orleans Pelicans: A.J. Dybantsa, G/F
- Utah Jazz: Cameron Boozer, F
- Charlotte Hornets: Nate Ament, F
- Toronto Raptors: Jayden Quaintance, F/C
- Brooklyn Nets: Karim Lopez, F
- San Antonio Spurs: Chris Cenac Jr., F/C
- Philadelphia 76ers: Caleb Wilson, F
- Chicago Bulls: Dash Daniels, G
- Portland Trail Blazers: Mikel Brown Jr., G
Based on their college recruiting rankings, there's very little separation between any of the top three 2026 draft prospects.
Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Dybantsa is the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 college class, followed by Peterson and Boozer.
Givony touted Peterson as the top prospect in 2026 right now thanks to an incredible season at Prolific Prep, including a 61-point outing in a win against Dybantsa and Utah Prep earlier this month, and "some comparisons" from NBA scouts to Damian Lillard.
Dybantsa isn't exactly hurting for acclaim, particularly being a 6'9" wing with a diverse offensive game and defensive versatility at a time when every NBA team is searching for a player with that skill set.
Boozer comes with a combination of elite pedigree and high-level performance. The son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer is averaging 22.6 points and 12.0 rebounds per game this season at Columbus High School.
Cameron, along with his brother Cayden, will be carrying on the family tradition next season when they play basketball at Duke. The Blue Devils have had tremendous success this season helping to develop Cooper Flagg into arguably the best player in the country and a near-lock to be the top pick in the 2025 draft.
Even though a lot of things are going to change with the 2026 NBA draft class over the next 16 months, it would certainly be a surprise if the top three picks in some order don't end up being Peterson, Dybantsa and Boozer.
