Timothy RappJun 21, 2015

Erik Jones put the bow on a stellar weekend Sunday.

Two days after winning the Truck Series race at Iowa Speedway, Jones was also victorious in the Xfinity Series Owens Corning AttiCat 300 at Chicagoland Speedway, winning a wild race that featured a course-record 23 lead changes, per NASCAR.com

The race was originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed until Sunday because of rain.

NASCAR Xfinity tweeted a video of Jones and his team celebrating after the race:

Xfinity Racing also passed along a photo of the celebration:

Even Ross Kenseth—the son of Matt Kenseth who made his debut Sunday—got into the act, per Joe Gibbs Racing on Twitter:

After the busy weekend, Jones seemed excited to take some time off:

Who could blame him? After two wins in three days, he has earned himself a bit of a break.

While Jones led 94 of 200 laps, he didn't overtake the lead for good until 10 laps remained, passing Ryan Blaney. From there, he didn't look back, holding off Blaney and a group of drivers who had traded the lead throughout the day.

Along with all of the lead changes, there was also a bizarre moment on Lap 152, when confusion among the drivers caused 22 cars to be penalized after heading to pit road too soon.

After finishing fifth, Chris Buescher still leads the Xfinity Series standings:

The Xfinity Series will now take a weekend off before heading to Daytona International Speedway on July 4 for the Subway Firecracker 250, where Buescher will look to maintain his lead atop the leaderboard. With the field closing in on him, Buescher can't afford to slip up going forward.

Perhaps he can take some inspiration from Jones' dominant weekend.
