Among the first big names done on Friday, Tiger Woods' U.S. Open came to an unceremonious end. Shooting 16 over par total, it is his worst score through 36 holes ever at a major event. Golfer Shannon Fish didn't feel sorry for Woods, but rather for the young golfers and viewers:

Paired with Rickie Fowler, who did not fare much better at 14 over, Woods was joined by the News Tribune's Gregg Bell:

Woods was more concerned about fellow golfer Jason Day, Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman noticed:

On his final hole of the afternoon, Day collapsed on the ninth. ESPN's Bob Harig reported that Day has been suffering from Vertigo.

Dallas' WFAA-TV's Mike Leslie heard Day's confession regarding vertigo on the broadcast:

The golf community offered their support, including the likes of David Duval:

Day proceeded to get treatment and finish his day, shooting even-par as he is two-under on the tournament. His toughness was commended by the Boston Globe's Kevin Paul Dupont, who compared him to some of the toughest players on the planet—hockey players:

In Day's pairing was Jordan Spieth, who has a share of the lead by shooting three-under on the day and five-under on the tournament. He was also there for his fellow golfer, according to ESPN.com's Ian O'Connor.

Spieth was excelling despite his surroundings and disdain for some aspects of the course, according to TSN:

Patrick Reed was making a big case as to why he should be with Dustin Johnson atop the leaderboard, as noted by the U.S. Open (USGA):

He sits in a tie for first with Spieth at five-under. Round 3 of the U.S. Open will pick up on Saturday, June 20.
