Royal Ascot Results 2015: Winners, Payouts and Orders of Finish on Ladies Day
Trip to Paris won the 2015 Gold Cup, the highlight of Ladies Day at the 2015 Royal Ascot meeting, resulting in a hefty payout for punters willing to place a bet on the late entry. Meanwhile, the Ryan Moore Show continued with wins in the Norfolk Stakes, Ribblesdale Stakes and Britannia Stakes.
Per tradition, Ladies Day once again provided fans with an absurd collection of hats and outrageous costumes, and this year's edition didn't disappoint. Eurosport UK tweeted a couple of "crazy" outfits:

This particular hat certainly caught the attention as well, via TalkSport:

Jockey Graham Lee rode Trip to Paris (12-1), the Chester Cup winner, to a close but well-deserved win at the 2015 Gold Cup, beating out Kingfisher (5-1) and favourite Forgotten Rules (5-2f) by just over a length.
According to Cheltenham Festival, the 39-year-old became only the first jockey in history to win both the Gold Cup and Grand National, two of Britain's biggest races.
The four-year old was a late addition to the pack after his owners paid £35,000 to let him run in the Gold Cup, via Bloodstock.com.au, but he proved he was worthy of the fee. Trainer Ed Dunlop was almost lost for words after the race, via Channel 4 Racing:
Similar to his win at the Chester Cup, Trip to Paris left it very late to take the lead at Ascot. Coming up on the inside, he sprinted forward during the final two furlongs, just as favourite Forgotten Rules appeared to lose a step. Kingfisher mounted a late challenge but was hindered on several occasions, and jockey Moore was unable to close the one-length gap.
Speaking to Channel 4 Racing, Simon Holt was impressed by the ride and predicted a trip to the Melbourne Cup later this year:
It seems likely Trip to Paris will start Down Under, and given his excellent form and progression, few will bet against the four-year-old when the time comes.
Britannia Stakes
| 1 | War Envoy | 10-1 | £74,700 | |
| 2 | Udododontu | nk | 14-1 | £22,368 |
| 3 | Sacrificial | 1 | 28-1 | £11,184 |
| 4 | Carry on Deryck | 3/4 | 33-1 | £5,592 |

Moore rode War Envoy (10-1) to a win in the Britannia Stakes, his third win of the day, and per the Ascot Racecourse's official Twitter account, the 31-year-old jockey has now tied the record for most Ascot wins within the week since World War II, with several events remaining.
Moore won two more races during the day, the Norfolk and Ribblesdale Stakes, and he had the unique opportunity to grab the Ascot record in the final day of the race. Dissolution was among the favourites for the King George V Stakes, but Williams Buick shocked the crowd atop Space Age, via TalkSport's Andrew McKenna:
His three wins on Thursday were an incredible achievement, however, and his disappointing performance during the King George V Stakes won't be held against him. His feats entertained the crowd and social media throughout the day, adding yet another element of excitement to Ladies Day.
Coral was among the many getting swept up in the hype throughout the day:
Legendary trainer Aidan O'Brien didn't mince his words discussing Moore, giving the jockey some high praise:
Given his incredible form, punters will likely be throwing money at his name when Royal Ascot resumes on Saturday.
