| 19 | Rosealee | 66/1 |
| 20 | Shaden | 33/1 |
Ryan Moore rode Acapulco to a decisive victory over a large field at the Queen Mary Stakes, opening up at the quarter pole and never relenting as the field was left to look on as the talented horse galloped to an impressive victory.
Duke Of Cambridge Stakes
| 1 | Amazing Maria | 25/1 |
| 2 | Rizeena | 7/1 |
| 3 | Cladocera | 8/1 |
| 4 | Bragging | 9/1 |
| 5 | Integral | 8/11 |
| 6 | Lightning Thunder | 33/1 |
Amazing Maria absolutely romped in this race, leaving favorite Integral in the dust in a dominant display. It was a pretty big shocker, as Amazing Maria came into the race as a long shot.
The horse came all the way from last to first with a strong late run that the rest of the field simply couldn't contest.
Prince Of Wales's Stakes
| 1 | Free Eagle | 5/2 |
| 2 | The Grey Gatsby | 9/2 |
| 3 | Western Hymn | 8/1 |
| 4 | The Corsican | 14/1 |
| 5 | Criterion | 20/1 |
| 6 | Spielberg | 7/1 |
| 7 | Cannock Chase | 8/1 |
| 8 | Gailo Chop | 10/1 |
| 9 | Ectot | 7/1 |
Free Eagle won in a photo finish at the Prince of Wales's Stakes, narrowly edging out The Grey Gatsby in a photo finish, with Western Hymn rounding out the top three.
The Grey Gatsby might have prevailed with a cleaner run but was boxed out down the stretch partly by Western Hymn and had to fight too much traffic to earn the win. A tough break for the horse, though finishing second by a mere nose was an impressive run nonetheless given the circumstances.
Of course, the big disappointment came before the race, as California Chrome—the 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner—pulled out the day before.
Royal Hunt Cup
| 1 | Gm Hopkins | 8/1 |
| 2 | Temptress | 9/1 |

| 27 | Coprah | 100/1 |
| 28 | Big Baz | 16/1 |
| 29 | Field Of Dream | 20/1 |
| DF | Spark Plug | 10/1 |
GM Hopkins came away with the victory in the giant 30-horse field, surviving strong runs from Temptress and Chil The Kite. For jockey Moore and owner Robin Geffen, well, it's been a great week, per the Ascot Racecourse on Twitter:
So large is the field at the Royal Hunt Cup that it often breaks up into two distinct groups on the track. It's certainly one of the more unique and memorable events at Royal Ascot.
Sandringham Handicap
| 1 | Osaila | 13/2 |
| 2 | Always Smile | 2/1 |
| 3 | Touchline | 15/2 |
| 4 | Jellicle Ball | 8/1 |
| 5 | Sulaalaat | 16/1 |
| 6 | Hundi | 50/1 |
| 7 | Tazffin | 16/1 |
| 8 | Amaze Me | 33/1 |
| 9 | Bronze Maquette | 33/1 |
| 10 | Pack Together | 25/1 |
| 11 | Rive Gauche | 25/1 |
| 12 | Muffri'Ha | 14/1 |
| 13 | Kodiva | 25/1 |
| 14 | Realtra | 25/1 |
| 15 | Mothers Finest | 12/1 |
| 16 | Risen Sun | 14/1 |
| 17 | Lovely Surprise | 20/1 |
Jockey Frankie Dettori hit a major milestone in this contest atop Osaila, winning his 50th race at Royal Ascot in the Sandringham Handicap with a photo finish.
That left Dettori in some fine company, per Ascot Racecourse on Twitter:
Touchline and Pack Together, both owned by the Queen, finished third and 10th, respectively.
It certainly was close, as Osaila beat Always Smile, the favorite coming into the race. Barry Glendenning of the Guardian felt that Always Smile ultimately "lost the race because she didn't run in a straight line."
In the end, that was the difference in a race that was tight as tight can be. It was certainly a tough loss for Always Smile and the many people who felt quite confident that the horse would win this race.
