NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 2015: Final Results and Reaction
In Eugene, Oregon, the hosting school put on a clinic, as the University of Oregon men's and women's team swept the national championships.
The men's team took home hardware on Friday with a dominant showing, recording 85 points and a 19-point margin of victory. It is their second-consecutive national championship and seventh overall.
For the women's squad, they are national champions for the first time since 1985. It's the first time since Texas A&M in 2011 that both of a school's men's and women's team won the national title.

On the individual side, USC's Andre De Grasse put on one of the most impressive displays in these NCAA National Championships. The Trojan's sprinter set college records in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. He posted a time of 9.75 in the 100 and 19.58 in the 200.
Edward Cheserek of Oregon also achieved an impressive double with wins in the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs. Along with teammates Eric Jenkins and Will Geoghegan, the three Oregon runners earned 23 of the Ducks' 82 points.
It is Cheserek's eighth individual championship, and he is now a part of four national NCAA championship teams (indoor or outdoor). His domination prompted this reaction from ABC Oregon's Mike Skow:
The Oregon women's team saw two national champions on their side, as Jenna Prandini won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.96 and Raevyn Rogers posted a 1:59.71 mark in her 800-meter run victory. Prandini's victory was an impressive one, and the USA Track & Field reveled in it on Twitter:
In the women's shot put, Southern Illinois' Raven Saunders won her second NCAA championship. It didn't come without drama, however. She came dangerously close to fouling on her final possible throw but managed to stay in play.
“It was very uncomfortable. Waiting until the last minute is something I’m kind of used to, so it really didn’t immensely affect me," Saunders told Jeff Hartsell of the Post and Courier.
Saunders also took home the shot-put title at the indoor championships in March.
