Chelsea Transfer News: Huge Deals and Rumours Linked to Jose Mourinho's Squad
Chelsea now know what they will have to pay to secure Paul Pogba's signature.
According to Louis Sealey of Metro, the news was confirmed by Italian journalist Ghilda Pensanta. She said: "They will just wait and only consider any official offers over £58 million—no less."
Pogba is one of the world's finest young talents, as the Guardian's James Horncastle notes.

The box-to-box midfielder had yet another reputation-enhancing season with Serie A champions Juventus, scoring 10 goals and making six assists in all competitions.

The 22-year-old would make an excellent addition to any squad, as his creativity and aggressive attacking style continues to become more and more effective.
According to Squawka, Pogba completed 75 out of 100 attempted take-ons in Serie A last season, and his forward runs would provide an exciting contrast with Cesc Fabregas' role as a deep-lying playmaker and Nemanja Matic's rock in front of the back four.
His arrival at Chelsea could necessitate a change of formation in order to accommodate all three in the centre of the pitch, meaning one of the Blues' attacking midfielders might have to make way—most likely Oscar.
Chelsea to Join the Race for Charlie Austin?
According to ESPN FC, the Blues are monitoring Charlie Austin's situation as he inevitably looks to depart the relegated Queens Park Rangers.

Jose Mourinho has gone on record that Chelsea are in the market for a new striker, per Jonathan Northcroft of the Sunday Times (behind a paywall, h/t ESPN).
He said: "We have to buy a striker because we want to have three strikers of a good level, We do not want to have just one [transfer target]. Then you lose a good position on the negotiation table."
Austin enjoyed an outstanding season at QPR, scoring 18 goals and assisting five in the Premier League.
As WhoScored.com noted on Twitter, the Englishman directly contributed to 54.8 per cent of his side's 42 goals last season, a better percentage than any other player in the league.

With Didier Drogba moving on and Diego Costa facing the constant threat of injury, Chelsea need another forward to complete their squad and provide able back-up to Costa.
The 25-year-old would be an excellent candidate to do so. Austin's physical presence and ruthless finishing echo Costa's and fit Mourinho's style of play perfectly.
With far better players around him, Austin could flourish even more than he did at Loftus Road.
For Chelsea, Austin would strengthen the one weakness in the Blues' squad and ensure their fight for trophies will continue regardless of Costa's fitness.
