Evan Daniels of Scout.com noted how Adebayo continues Kentucky's strong recruiting class:
In May, as Adebayo was being recruited, his mentor, Eric Peartree, told Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv that they were hoping to increase the hype around the young forward by showcasing him in travel leagues:
"I want everybody to see what’s going on. I keep harping everybody, Bam is one of the best big men in the country. People still don’t believe it. We’re going to every circuit, we’re trying to show everybody that this man deserves what he’s doing.
The upside is tremendous. By far he’s one of the best big men in the country. I don’t know what’s the problem. If people don’t see it by now, I don’t know what else it’s gonna take. But we gonna keep fighting. We country boys from North Carolina, that’s what we do.
"
It seems that the people Peartree was discussing—or at least the ones who matter—finally caught on. Adebayo has been listed among the best recruits in the country for most of 2015, with programs like North Carolina, North Carolina State and Kansas among the many elite schools to make him an offer.
Size and athleticism are two things every team in college basketball wants, with very few being able to find it. Adebayo has both, and he isn't afraid to attack the basket. He also possesses a frame that can support more muscle.
College recruits don't come better prepackaged than Adebayo, and he's going to make an instant impact on both sides of the ball as a freshman for head coach John Calipari as the Wildcats continue to draw top recruits.
