With Kevin Love and now Kyrie Irving on the sidelines, LeBron James has taken it upon himself to carry the Cavaliers. After totaling 44 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the first game, he was even better in Game 2 with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders explained how good this performance was in the win:

Although there are those who will question his efficiency (11-of-35 from the field), this is not a problem for Cleveland. Bleacher Report's Ethan J. Skolnick noted the team around him is willing to live with this style of play:

With Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov both handling themselves in the post while Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith make big plays on the perimeter, the Cavaliers have a chance to keep the momentum in Game 3.

As good as Cleveland has played, however, the real reason the Warriors couldn't come through in Game 2 was the poor play of Stephen Curry. The league's MVP was 5-of-23 from the field, including a missed shot in the final seconds that could have given the team the lead.

On the plus side, it's difficult to imagine similar struggles throughout the series. Curry is simply too good to have these types of shooting problems going forward. He certainly remains confident in a turnaround:

Despite the strong on-ball defense by Dellavedova in Game 2, Curry will find a way to get free and once again put up the great numbers we are used to seeing. Add this to the play of Klay Thompson and others in a deep rotation, and Golden State should get back to its normal offensive ways.

Meanwhile, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala have done a good job defensively on James, keeping him from getting too many easy looks at the net. With Cleveland having few consistent options besides the superstar, the squad will struggle to keep up on the scoreboard.

It will take superior efforts from players like Smith and Shumpert to keep the game competitive, and that is just too tall of an order against more quality defenders.

Even though they will play at home, the Cavaliers will fall behind in what should remain a competitive series.

Prediction: Warriors 103, Cavaliers 97
