College Baseball Super Regionals 2015: Bracket, Live Stream Info and Predictions
The NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament has no time for teams not up to the daunting task. Sixty-four teams were quickly whittled down to 16 after the double-elimination Regionals, setting the stage for the 2015 College Baseball Super Regionals.
The only national seed not to reach the Super Regionals happened to be, on paper, the best of them. National No. 1 seed UCLA suffered a 2-1 defeat to Maryland late Monday night, a brutal finish to a brilliant season.
The Super Regionals, which begin either Friday or Saturday for each matchup, will see the 16 remaining teams compete in best-of-three series before the playoffs move on to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series.
Six of the seven remaining national seeds will make use of automatic Super Regional hosting duties. Missouri State, however, will have to play at Arkansas due to a schedule conflict with the Springfield Cardinals, Double-A Texas League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, per Lyndal Scranton of the Springfield News-Leader.
Here's a look at the bracket, live stream info and predictions for each Super Regional series.

Preview
The SEC as a whole is well represented in the Super Regionals with five teams—more than any other conference (the ACC is next with four). Shockingly, the Pac-12 will have no representatives in the Super Regionals.
With UCLA gone, LSU becomes the team to beat going forward. In-state foe Louisiana-Lafeyette gets first crack at them, and the fact that Ragin' Cajuns fans won't have very far to travel could be a boost to this team tasked with beating the Bayou Bengals.
LSU's pitching was uniformly excellent in the Regionals. Sophomore lefty Jared Poche and freshman Alex Lange combined for 17.2 shutout innings across two games against UNC-Wilmington, and seven LSU pitchers allowed just five hits and three runs in the Regional opener. With pitching like that, the Tigers should have little trouble advancing.
There are two other in-state rivalries playing out in the Super Regionals. Florida State takes on old foe No. 4 Florida, and Texas A&M will look to dispatch No. 7 TCU, who needed extra innings and late heroics to beat NC State 9-8 in the Regional Final.
NCAA Baseball provided a couple of looks at the dramatic game:
Arkansas would appear to be a fine upset pick with the charmed hosting duties, but the Missouri State Bears insist the time away from Hammons Field will not be a problem.
"We have a lot of veterans on this team," shortstop Joey Hawkins said, via Scranton. "I think we're built to go to Arkansas and compete in front of a (big) crowd. It's something we kind of live to do. It's going to be fun to go down there and play."
They may not have a baseball pedigree to speak of, but Virginia Commonwealth might be the hottest team still in the tournament and a shock contender, per The Associated Press (h/t USA Today).
"The surprise team so far is Virginia Commonwealth, which became the fifth No. 4 regional seed to reach super regionals since the tournament went to its current format in 1999. The Rams (40-23) lost seven of their first 10 games and finished fourth in the Atlantic 10.
The Rams won the conference tournament to gain entry to regionals, where they beat Oregon State and won two of three over host Dallas Baptist. They are 14-1 in their last 15 games and are in their first super regional.
"
NCAA Baseball showed the team celebrating their clinching 3-1 win over Dallas Baptist:
VCU runs into the rampant Miami Hurricanes, who will likely still be feeling quite confident after a 21-3 drubbing of Columbia in the second Regional Final game. Of course, they were shut out in the first game of the final, but 35 runs in four games will make any hitting coach feel like he's done his job and done it well.
The Big West has produced a number of fine baseball squads over the years. UC-Santa Barbara and Cal-State Fullerton both made it to the tournament this year, but only the Titans advanced past the Regionals. However, this small conference's time in the spotlight could be short-lived, as the Titans take on No. 3 Louisville, who needed just three games and a 24-9 run advantage to reach this crucial stage.
