EPL Results Week 38: Premier League Scores, Top Scorers and Final 2015 Table
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero finished with the golden boot award for the top scorer in this season's Premier League. Aguero hit his 26th goal on the final day of the campaign, a day when Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard also found the net but endured possibly the worst send-off he could have imagined from the club he adores.
Elsewhere, Aguero's chief rivals in the scoring charts both converted chances, while Arsenal's Theo Walcott made the most of a rare start at striker.
From those who could score to those who couldn't, drawing another blank condemned Hull City to relegation. By contrast, Newcastle United survived after twice finding the net against West Ham United.

Recap
London-based strikers Harry Kane and Diego Costa set club scoring records for Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, respectively. Costa's first-half penalty conversion to help spare champions Chelsea's blushes at home to Sunderland put the Spain international in elite company alongside club greats in the Premier League era.
OptaJoe had details:
Costa has proved to be one of the best signings of last summer's transfer window. Aside from some injury woes and disciplinary issues, the former Atletico Madrid attacking talisman has given this Chelsea squad exactly what they needed: a ruthlessly efficient goalscorer.
Considering how an inability to score plagued the Blues during the second half of last season, notably against West Ham and Crystal Palace, Costa has been the perfect tonic. Manager Jose Mourinho deserves credit for identifying and acquiring his team's missing link.
As if to put Costa's achievement during his first season in England into an even more impressive context, Squawka Football compares his output to a high-priced Chelsea flop:
From a dominant Chelsea forward to a dominant Chelsea rival, Kane equalled an impressive single-season mark. Squawka detailed how his early winner at Everton added one more accolade to Kane's awesome breakout season:
It's not always easy working out exactly how Kane does it. He's not the quickest, tallest, strongest or most technically accomplished.
Yet there's no disputing the 21-year-old just has a natural gift for getting goals. His instincts in and around the box are exceptional, along with movement that's just too subtle for most defenders.
After such a prolific campaign, Kane deserves all the plaudits he gets.
Crossing the North London divide, one player who maybe feels he doesn't get enough opportunities as a striker certainly made the most of a rare start through the middle.
Walcott tore through the West Bromwich Albion defence to fire in a first-half hat-trick. He terrorised the Baggies with lightning-fast runs down the sides of cumbersome centre-back Jonas Olsson.
The trio of strikes gave the cheetah-fast England international a personal milestone in the Premier League:
Walcott, who's currently embroiled in a contract standoff with the Gunners, has lobbied to move off the wing and play centre-forward throughout his career. Boss Arsene Wenger has usually been wary to indulge him, except around contract negotiation time, but Walcott has certainly given his manager a dilemma ahead of next weekend's FA Cup final.
Regular striker Olivier Giroud is more of a target man. While his link play is intelligent and classy, Giroud is rather plodding, and his movement can be predictable. The towering Frenchman also lacks Walcott's assurance in front of goal.
The latter's pace seems to offer a more natural outlet for creative schemers Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.
Moving away from the capital, Stoke City's demolition of a flat Liverpool side didn't just spoil Gerrard's farewell. It also gave ex-Manchester United flop Mame Biram Diouf the chance to earn a distinction for his club, per OptaJoe:
The Senegalese striker is still a player with untapped talent. His physical potential is tremendous thanks to electric pace and formidable playing strength.
Diouf has thrived in the more expansive brand of football gaffer Mark Hughes has preached in the Potteries this season. He should be even better in the next campaign.
Elsewhere, before Aguero was sealing his golden boot award, veteran Frank Lampard hit a key goal for City. It gave him an incredible final scoring tally for a midfielder, per Squawka:
Lost in all the buzz surrounding Gerrard's departure has been Lampard's exit from England's top flight. He's been the ultimate goal-getting midfielder and a player whose technical quality hasn't always been fully appreciated. City may have finished empty-handed, but at least Lampard has signed off in style.
No such glorious final bow awaited Gerrard, through. Even for those who haven't always warmed to the Liverpool talisman, it's difficult not to feel some sympathy over the way things have ended for this decorated club servant.
Ultimately, though, the season rightfully belongs to Chelsea. With two players on the top-10 scorers list, the Blues have successfully married attacking verve with defensive resolve to finish deserved champions.
With Aguero around, City will still be a massive threat next season, while United and Arsenal must get their transfer business right this summer to help bridge the gap.
