Eden Hazard will be the big favourite to lift the Player of the Year gong; Chelsea’s Belgian starlet has already secured the PFA and Football Writers' Association awards in recent weeks. Joining him on the eight-man shortlist are team-mates Nemanja Matic, Diego Costa and club captain John Terry.
As we can see here courtesy of Squawka Football, Hazard has been thrilling to watch throughout the entirety of the campaign:
Also in the running will be Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero. Rounding off the list will be north London’s two brightest performers this season: Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and new Tottenham Hotspur hero Harry Kane.
EPL Stat Man took a closer look at the league’s best contributors in terms of all-round attacking output:
Blues boss Jose Mourinho heads up the Manager of the Year award after securing his third Premier League title. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a surprise inclusion on the five-man index, in which Swansea City’s Garry Monk, Leicester City chief Nigel Pearson and Southampton supremo Ronald Koeman have also had their excellent work recognised.

But top dogs Chelsea will surely dominate proceedings once again. Hazard has added the stardust to this Blues machine and has been a worthy winner of a clutch of individual accolades so far, while Mourinho’s season management and transfer business have been flawless.
