Nike Air Jordan 11Lab4 Release Date Schedule, Pics and Retail Price
Nike has done a remarkable job of building the Jordan Brand into a massive marketing tool in the world of shoes. Every release comes with a crazy amount of hype. That's certainly the case with the Air Jordan 11Lab4, which is set to launch on Saturday.
The shoe combines the elements of the Air Jordan IV with the Air Jordan XI to create a clean, crisp black-on-black design. The style, which includes the patent leather from the 11, really allows the shoe to jump off the page.
Here are the release details from Nike:

Kicks On Fire showcased the latest Lab release:
As you can see, the look does provide some contrast with the white portion of the midsole that wraps around the shoe. But it's mostly an all-black base that really shows of its shine when you put it in a lighted environment like that photo.
The hybrid nature of the shoe is probably going to serve as a huge selling point for collectors. Any time you can combine two memorable models like the IV and XI to create a new look that flows together so well, it's hard to ignore.
Complex Sneakers provided a look at the back of the design:
Again, smooth and simple, yet enticing. Obviously, the Jumpman logo makes it clear the shoe's brand, but it blends in with the look nicely rather than trying to make it stick out.
Sole Collector passed along the front view:
More of the same, which isn't a surprise given the color scheme. What this angle really lets you see, however, is the almost dress shoe nature of the design. It gives off the same glare as formal attire after a recent polish.
The question will be how much a person wants to sport them. They are going to look amazing coming out of the box, but constant wear could take away some of that trademark shine. It could be best saving them for special occasions so they keep that clean look.
All told, it was another successful trip into the Lab for Nike. At a time when retro remains a big selling point, it combined two vintage looks to create one standout design.
