Liverpool Transfer News: Oscar and Radamel Falcao Top Multiple Reds Rumours
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is gearing up for a busy summer according to reports, which link the club with Chelsea's Oscar, Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao and FC Dnipro's Yevhen Konoplyanka.
As reported by Simon Jones of the MailOnline, Liverpool and Juventus are "continuing to monitor developments" with Oscar, who has posted a somewhat underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.
Citing the same article, Peter Guy of the Liverpool Echo believes Chelsea "would want a substantial profit" on the £19.35 million they paid for the Brazilian in 2012.

Selling players could be key to funding new signings, with Spanish publication Fichajes (h/t Jamie Anderson of the Daily Star) suggesting the club are "preparing to offload Mario Balotelli" to fund a £25 million move for Falcao.
Currently on loan at United from Monaco, Falcao has struggled for form and fitness, netting four Premier League goals in 21 appearances, per WhoScored.com.
Metro writer Jamie Sanderson also cites the Fichajes article and suggests Liverpool "initially thought that any deal would be a loan." However, he believes they "would pay" a transfer fee to confirm the Colombian's arrival.
B/R UK's Sam Tighe doesn't believe top clubs should take a chance on Falcao:
Liverpool failed to agree a deal with Dnipro for Konoplyanka during the January 2014 transfer window, but now the Ukrainian's contract has almost concluded, the Anfield club can grab him "free of charge," according to Tuttomercartoweb (h/t George Bellshaw of the Metro).
The dynamic attacking midfielder would slot right into Rodgers' squad and could provide Liverpool with an alternative left-sided threat to Raheem Sterling. Konoplyanka is a composed, creative player who is capable of scoring outrageous goals, highlighted below:
His arrival may become more likely with news that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hoping to keep hold of Theo Walcott. John Cross of the Mirror reported Rodgers was "confident" of landing the Englishman prior to Wenger admitting he wants Walcott to prove his worth at the Emirates Stadium.
"I believe he will have a great future and I want him to stay here," said Wenger during Thursday's press conference ahead of Arsenal's FA Cup semi-final with Reading, as reported by Cross.
If Konoplyanka can be snapped up on a free, Rodgers would be foolish to act on his alleged interest in Walcott.

Liverpool will also feature at Wembley this weekend and are scheduled to face Aston Villa in Sunday's FA Cup last-four tie. Winning the trophy could be pivotal to landing new stars, although it's unlikely to outweigh the importance of Champions League football.
While Falcao welcomed a drop away from Europe's elite competition this season, the likes of Oscar and Walcott may not be so accommodating in the summer.
