Most Fashionable Players in the NBA Playoffs
NBA players have become increasingly fashion-conscious in recent years. It’s obvious that many athletes take great pride in their style choices off the court—some loud and buzzworthy, others understated but sharp. Yet there are only a few who can be deemed “most fashionable,” on-trend or better yet, setting the trend.
With the big stage of the NBA postseason upon us, fans will have a chance to see more of what the NBA’s best-dressed have to offer. From game arrivals, off days and postgame press conferences, there are sure to be some "wow" moments.
Let’s examine 10 playoff ballers known for making statements, both with their on-court skills and unparalleled style. Just who is the most fashionable player in this NBA postseason?
Blake Griffin
1 of 10Blake Griffin's style is clean and well-put together. Whether he's dressed up or down, the Los Angeles Clippers forward clearly takes pride in his appearance. Griffin has experimented with different prints and styles over the years but always manages to look sharp. He even graced the cover of GQ in 2014.
Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard’s fashion sense is like his personality: bold, playful and unapologetic. A knee injury sidelined the Houston Rockets center for a few weeks this season, but he managed to remain noticeable even off the court. Let’s just say Howard can always be counted upon for a refreshing departure on the standard suit.
Damian Lillard
3 of 10Damian Lillard brings the casual-cool to this group. He has an effortless, relaxed style, and he pulls it off well. The Portland Trail Blazers point guard told Christopher Hunt of Men’s Fitness he’s into “relaxed gear” and said, "Whatever I look at and I like, if I try something and it looks good on me, in my eyes, that’s the style I get comfortable with."
Tony Parker
4 of 10
Tony Parker isn’t one to make outrageous fashion statements, but he sure knows how to wear a suit. He is more understated in his choices, often opting for a casual jacket or plain button-down for the postgame press conference.
The French star explained his style to Nic Screws of Esquire in 2013: “My focus is on comfort, so I tend to keep it simple and casual — both during and after the basketball season. My mom was a model and her laid-back but put-together sensibility really rubbed off on me.”
LeBron James
5 of 10LeBron James had the good fortune to play on a team with one of the NBA’s best-dressed men, Dwyane Wade, for four years. Maybe it rubbed off on him a little—James has certainly come a long way since that blinding draft-day suit in 2003.
Now, James always seems to dress for the occasion. From casual T-shirts to superbly tailored suits, don’t expect King James to ever look out of place. Do expect him to make a statement once in a while.
John Wall
6 of 10Since going No. 1 in the draft in 2010, John Wall has made fashion a priority. In 2013, the Washington Wizards guard told lifestyle website Refinery29 that one of his career goals was to “be an NBA fashion icon.”
He may not be an icon just yet, but Wall is certainly on his way. His Instagram showcases a bold yet diverse style and proves he can take chances and still look good.
Amar'e Stoudemire
7 of 10Amar’e Stoudemire has long been committed to fashion. In 2011, he collaborated with designer Rachel Roy on a women’s line. Roy told Jake Appleman of The New York Times that Stoudemire “has a very strong point of view” when it comes to style.
The Dallas Mavericks center pulls off a suit with the best of them, but he’s not afraid to make a statement on occasion.
James Harden
8 of 10James Harden’s style is bold, confident and always accessorized by that signature beard. The Houston Rockets guard has an affinity for other accessories as well—once donning a gold chain and pilgrim-inspired hat.
Like most fashion trendsetters, Harden marches to the beat of his own drum. And most of the time, he looks good doing it.
Chris Paul
9 of 10Chris Paul’s fashion choices always seem to be precisely on point. He never looks over the top or like he’s trying too hard, but he always seems to be impeccably dressed. As well as he does fashion, however, Paul's real love is for shoes. He has a self-described “museum” at home just to house his enormous collection of Jordan and Nike kicks.
Tyson Chandler
10 of 10Tyson Chandler is the master of the dark, well-cut suit. The Dallas Mavericks big man is often cited as one of NBA's best-dressed players for his unique personal style. Just recently, he and his wife even launched their own line of sunglasses.
In 2013, Chandler (then with the New York Knicks) told Marc Anthony Green of GQ, “Even before I moved to N.Y.C., I realized that there are no off days. Especially in the camera-phone era. I started to look at fashion the same way I look at my games—there's always going to be someone watching you for the first time."
