NASCAR at Texas 2015: Latest NASCAR Team News, Top Drivers and More
After a one-week break, the NASCAR season resumes in Texas this weekend. The last time the Sprint Cup was in the Lone Star State, fireworks and fists were the story following Jimmie Johnson's victory.
Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski were involved in a melee following the race that captured the entire sport's attention. Two of the biggest stars in NASCAR, Gordon and Keselowski are once again rounding into form this year heading into Texas.
Last season, Joey Logano and Johnson captured wins at the 1.5-mile track. JJ has dominated recent races at the track in the fall, winning the last three, but has never taken a checkered flag during the spring.
Leading up to the seventh race of the season, here's a look at the race schedule, latest team news and top drivers to watch at the Duck Commander 500.

Latest Team News
Two of the best teams in NASCAR in recent years have been Hendrick Motorsports and Team Penske. At Texas, the two programs dominate the headlines on a regular basis.
For example, they have combined to win the last three races at the track, with Logano taking the checkered flag at the last spring race. But as NASCAR Stats points out, repeating is not an easy task:
Along with the success of JJ and Logano, the track was also rocked with the controversy last fall from Gordon and Keselowski. Following contact from Keselowski that sent the No. 24 machine spinning, Gordon was unabashed about his feelings for the Penske driver.
"He's just a dips--t," Gordon said, via Jay Pennell of Fox Sports. "The way he races, I don't know how he ever won a championship and I'm just sick and tired of him. That's why everybody's fighting him and running him down. Your emotions are high. That was a huge race for us. We had the car. We had the position."
Will Gordon have the car again? Can he steer clear of Keselowski to maintain a great position in Texas? Those are questions that fans of the Hendrick driver will be asking all week in his last full-time season.
Regardless of who drives to Victory Lane, watching Keselowski and Gordon when they get close on the track will be entertaining. With both surging recently, it will be a battle down to the final laps.
Drivers to Watch
Kevin Harvick

Sure, his streak of top-two finishes came to an end at Martinsville, but Kevin Harvick is still the best driver with the fastest car nearly every time he takes the track lately. With two wins already through the first six races, he'll be looking to continue that pace in Fort Worth.
For a better look at just how superior he's been compared to the field, NASCAR Stats notes where he ranks in terms of green flag speed:
Repeating as a champion isn't easy, and there's certainly a lot of season left, but no one has been able to touch Harvick this year. Heading to a 1.5-mile track where he finished second back in the fall, look for the No. 4 car to compete for a victory yet again on Saturday.
Joey Logano
Already a winner this season at the Daytona 500, Logano will be eyeing his second victory at Texas. Though he hasn't kept up with Harvick in the standings, Logano still sits second in points with top-10 results in every race this year.
Coming off the break, some early-season superlatives were handed out by Zack Albert of NASCAR.com. Logano was one of the early probables for the final four in NASCAR:
"Final Four predictions: Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski. Again, ridiculously early to make a sure-shot pick, but going with the chalk means placing these four in the title-eligible heap at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Honorable mentions: Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon.
"
Coming off a win from last spring, look for Logano to excel again at the track. An early-season candidate to be a championship contender, Logano has the look of one of the most consistent drivers in NASCAR this season.
Now that he's got some experience with the six-shooters at Texas, he might just be firing them again on Saturday night.
Kyle Larson

Not all drivers worth watching are solely due to their ability to win the race. Kyle Larson, who's returning from a health scare at Martinsville, embodies that description while looking for his first Sprint Cup win.
The Chip Ganassi Racing driver has proven to be one of the best young competitors at intermediate tracks. In 14 races at the courses as a full-time driver, Larson has a top-10 finish in seven of those events. He also held an average result of sixth last season in two races at Texas.
In order to get back into the Chase Grid this weekend, Larson will need a strong outing. Thanks to his recent success at Texas, he couldn't have returned to a more perfect track.
