The bright lights of the United Center in Chicago will be on 24 of the best young basketball prospects in the country as the 2015 McDonald's All-American Game showcases the next generation of college basketball (and potentially NBA) stars.
This year marks the 38th installment of the event, and each year has introduced the nation to some of the NBA's next superstars.
NBA All-Stars who played in this game include Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden and more. That's the type of quality we're talking about.

Ben Simmons, PF
Australian power forward Ben Simmons is widely considered the top prospect taking part in the action in Chicago. He stands 6'9" and weighs 225 pounds, and there is still room for him to grow by adding muscle as he gets older. Now just 18 years old, Simmons shouldn't worry about getting bigger just yet.
Simmons doesn't need to get huge, though. He operates as an athletic stretch-forward, making dazzling plays in the lane because of his length and showing the ability to run the floor in transition. He also utilizes a silky-smooth jumper when given even the slightest bit of space by defenders.
Jerry Meyer of 247Sports tweeted that he also possesses a rare skill for a big man:
The LSU Tigers are lucky enough to have him entering the program next season, and he'll quickly become a nationally recognized prospect given his skill set. The SEC is famous for its outstanding talent, yet he has a chance at being the best player in the conference next season. That's how good this kid is.
His versatile talents and outstanding season at Montverde Academy earned him the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award, which he took to social media to cleverly announce:
"I was surprised by @Gatorade for winning the Boys Basketball #GatoradePOY. @BillSimmons I did the family name proud! http://t.co/VU1GiHUs2S
— Ben Simmons (@BenSimmons25) March 25, 2015"
Simmons is already in the running to be the first player taken in the 2016 NBA draft. That's jumping the gun a bit—especially because he's never even set foot on the court for LSU—but the potential is there for him to turn into a star.
Jaylen Brown, SF

Jaylen Brown has the ideal size and athleticism to be an NBA wing. He stands 6'7" and weighs 220 pounds, and his ability to fly through the air and bring down the house at the rim makes him a highlight waiting to happen.
The Wheeler High School senior has offers on the table from Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, UNC, Michigan, Georgia, Georgia Tech and N.C. State, according to ESPN.com, but he has yet to make a decision.
Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader tweeted that the University of Kentucky has already caught Brown's attention:
Given his exciting skills, Brown is a candidate to be a Day 1 contributor to his new team. His athletic ability and rim-rocking potential put him toward the top of his class in terms of college-readiness. There are several teams which he could start for out of the gate in 2015-16.
If you haven't heard of Brown before today, then there's no reason to shame yourself. You won't be able to forget about him after watching him Wednesday night, though, so get ready to be amazed.
Malik Newman, SG
There's a lot to like about Malik Newman. At 6'3", 175 pounds, he's a good size for an NBA shooting guard. His height suggests that he'll add some weight and increase his strength as he gets older, which would be ideal for his future professional career.
That might not even be too crucial if he can prove that his scoring ability isn't inhibited by a thinner frame. ESPN.com highlighted his most obvious skills: "He's most often defined as a scoring combo-guard, and while he has the ball skills and capability to play the point, he's in his natural habitat when he's looking for his own offense. Newman is a big shot taker and maker."
The Callaway High School product is still without a future home for the upcoming season, though his status as a top recruit puts him in the running with some of the best programs in the country. He told Roberts he thinks he'd mesh well in Kentucky's backcourt:
"I think it could [work]. You really can't press us. All of us can create for others, and we can create for ourselves. There's never a point where you'd be like, 'Oh, we're just going to stick our best defender on [Isaiah] Briscoe, and we're just going to work from there.' Because you have two other great guards on the court at the same time that can do the exact same things Briscoe can do.
"
A backcourt of Newman, Briscoe and Tyler Ulis would be dynamic.
Newman is set to light up the United Center with his jumper and ability to create for himself on Wednesday night.
