Arsenal Transfer News: Charles Aranguiz Talks £5M Move, Paulo Dybala Rumours
It appears that Chile star Charles Aranguiz has got a taste for playing at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium after revealing it would be “a dream” to sign for the Gunners.
The midfielder impressed at the heart of the La Roja midfield during a 1-0 loss to Brazil in north London and was asked about rumours linking him with a move to Arsene Wenger’s side in the aftermath, per Sam Cunningham of the Daily Mail.
“They’re a great team, and it would be a dream but for now that's all it is, a dream,” Aranguiz said, when quizzed on potentially playing for the Gunners. “I don't know anything about it. I've heard about it through the press but nobody has talked to me.”

Star-Studded World Cup Ad 🤩

Those Arsenal supporters who ventured to the Emirates to watch this encounter will have been very impressed with the performance of the Internacional star. On the ball, he was extremely efficient at the heart of the midfield, as Chile restricted Brazil’s possession for long spells. Off it, he showcased an endearing tenacity.
Indeed, he was also very impressive for Jorge Sampaoli's team during the World Cup. Here’s a closer look at how he’s been faring on the domestic front:
For a reported fee of around £5 million, Aranguiz looks as though he could be a real coup for the Gunners. There are definitely malleable talents there for Wenger to work with, while his versatile skills would make him an ideal player to have in the squad. But at this juncture, he’s not quite the immediate solution the Londoners need to alleviate their longstanding defensive-midfield woes.
Premier League Trio Make Paulo Dybala Enquiry

According to Simon Jones of the MailOnline, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea have all confirmed their interest in Palermo forward Paulo Dybala, who has dazzled Serie A this season with his effervescent brand of forward play.
In a boost to those clubs, the Palermo sporting director Dario Baccin has admitted that the youngster's departure is looking inevitable, per Will Giles of Metro: "He has rejected all our proposals for a contract renewal, so at this stage it’s safe to say he will certainly leave"
Previously, the Italian club’s president, Maurizio Zamparini, named Dybala's pursuers, admitting that both the Argentinian and midfield maestro Franco Vazquez will leave the club this summer.

“Dybala and Vazquez will probably be sold this summer. Will they go to Milan? No,” said Zamparini, per Jones’ piece. “They are being tracked by Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.”
With 12 goals and seven assists to his name in Serie A this season, per WhoScored.com, there is naturally plenty of hype surrounding Dybala. But Adam Digby of FourFourTwo thinks that Vazquez could actually represent better value for interested parties:
"Vasquez for €20 million or Dybala for double that amount? (see previous RT) Not even a question, the former a far more complete player imo
— Adam Digby (@Adz77) March 26, 2015"
But given the surfeit of attacking-midfield men already on their books, the 21-year-old striker is the most intriguing proposition for Arsenal supporters. After all, he plays the game in a relentless, intricate and engrossing style, boasting all the qualities needed to thrive in a Gunners team.
Bleacher Report’s Arsenal correspondent James McNicholas recently took a look at how he’d fit into Wenger's set-up:
There’s a concern that the Premier League could be a little too ferocious for the young Argentinian. After a solitary campaign flourishing in the Italian top flight, perhaps a switch to an English juggernaut would be too big a leap for Dyabala to make at this stage of his burgeoning career.
With Olivier Giroud blossoming at the point of the Arsenal attack and Danny Welbeck proving to be a capable deputy to the Frenchman, the Gunners aren’t in immediate need of additions at the sharp end of the pitch. If £30 million—Palermo’s asking price for Dybala, per Jones’ piece—is there to spend, it could be better invested in other sections of this Arsenal squad.
