A Kyle Larson autograph is a hot commodity in the racing world, but that was the least of anyone's concerns during a signing session Saturday where he was transported to the hospital after fainting. He has since been cleared to return to racing.

Larson Cleared to Resume Racing

Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed via its Twitter account that Larson has been cleared to resume racing.

Larson Faints During Autograph Session

According to Jay Pennell of Fox Sports, "Larson fainted toward the end of an autograph session at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday afternoon and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation."
Larson, 22, was "awake and alert on the way to the hospital." Cavanna later tweeted that Larson was feeling well.
The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year was expected to participate in Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville in the No. 42 car, but he will be forced to miss the race. According to Pennell, he'll be replaced by Regan Smith.
"Although all tests came back negative and Larson feels completely fine, the doctors felt he should be held for more testing today," the team said in a statement released Sunday morning.
During the 2015 Sprint Cup season, Larson has two top-10 finishes—at Las Vegas and at Phoenix. His best finish came at Las Vegas, where he placed eighth.
Larson finished in 26th place in the Sprint Cup Series race at Fontana in his last race.
