Legendary Head Coaches

The sidelines will be manned by some of the best and most recognizable head coaches in college basketball history during the Elite Eight. Two of the eight (Rick Pitino of the Louisville Cardinals and Mike Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils) are already in the Hall of Fame, and the Michigan State Spartans' Tom Izzo and Kentucky Wildcats' John Calipari are probably headed there at some point.
Matt Norlander of CBS Sports lauds the accomplishments of Izzo and Pitino before the two square off on Sunday:
The Arizona Wildcats' Sean Miller, Gonzaga Bulldogs' Mark Few, Notre Dame Fighting Irish's Mike Brey and Wisconsin Badgers' Bo Ryan are nothing to sneeze at as coaches in their own rights.
Combined, this group of eight coaches has won a total of eight national championships and advanced to 17 Final Fours.
Top Prospects

On the court, the stars are out in force as well. If you take a look at the latest NBA mock draft from DraftExpress, 14 of the 30 projected first-round picks are playing in the Elite Eight.
Duke's Jahlil Okafor leads that group, as he is still considered the favorite to be selected first—should he decide to forgo the remainder of his college eligibility.
Okafor is averaging 18 points and eight rebounds per game for the Blue Devils.
One Undefeated Team

The true rock stars of the tournament are the Wildcats from Kentucky. At 37-0, Calipari's group has a chance to do something special if it can run the table. Only seven teams have ever finished a season and the NCAA tournament undefeated. The 1976 Indiana Hoosiers were the last to do it.
If Kentucky is able to produce the first unblemished campaign in the last 39 years, it would be the crowning achievement in an impressive coaching career for Calipari.
