Saturday Elite Eight Preview
The No. 1-seeded Kentucky Wildcats should have their toughest game of the season and postseason when they face the red-hot Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish's efficient offense will go against a Kentucky defense that holds teams to 53.5 points, a nation-low 34.8 percent from the field and just 7.4 assists per game.
Notre Dame has made 51.1 percent of its shots from the field and has averaged 15.1 assists per contest. Something has to give here.

Jerian Grant has been the catalyst for Notre Dame's offense, and he'll be charged with getting into the lane, making good decisions and knocking down shots to give his team confidence.
However, Kentucky is so deep. It always has fresh bodies on the floor, and it doesn't hurt that the vast majority of them have the talent to spend at least some time in the NBA when their college careers are over.
The Wildcats smashed the West Virginia Mountaineers 78-39 on Thursday, while Notre Dame bested the Wichita State Shockers 81-70. Can the Irish pull the monumental upset, or will they bite the dust like the previous 37 opponents who have tried to topple Kentucky?
Saturday's other regional final features a rematch of one of last year's best tournament games. En route to their appearance in the Final Four, the Wisconsin Badgers knocked off the then-No. 1 seed Arizona Wildcats 64-63.
This year, the seeds are reversed, as Wisconsin comes in as the top seed in the West Region. Arizona survived a scare from the Xavier Musketeers, while Wisconsin did the same against the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Stewart Mandel of Fox Sports acknowledged Arizona's flatness against Xavier and the Wildcats' readiness for another crack at Wisconsin:
Both teams are among the best in the country from a defensive standpoint. Both teams hold their opponents under 60 points per game. The key to this game will be rebounding. Arizona has the athletes to excel in transition, but it must control the glass to get out and run.
During the regular season, Arizona was the better rebounding team at 37 per game compared to 33 for Wisconsin.
A key matchup to watch in this one will be Kaleb Tarczewski versus Frank Kaminsky. Tarczewski isn't going to be relied upon to score very much, but his ability to defend Kaminsky could be the difference between obtaining a spot in the Final Four and another disappointing tournament performance.
