Friday promises to bring more of the same, with two wide-open regions that can be decided any number of ways. With lower seeds like NC State and UCLA looking to continue a long run, expect more of the same from the Sweet 16.

Elite Eight Breakdown
Four spots are still yet to be determined, but this year's Elite Eight is already shaping up to be a great one. The first game is a rematch of last year's showdown, while the other features two conference tournament champions looking to make their way to Indianapolis.
Before looking at Kentucky's next matchup, let's take a look at the Wisconsin vs. Arizona game. In fact, this game might just be even more intriguing given the historical significance, as ESPN Stats & Info points out:
The Badgers come in after an up-and-down performance against North Carolina. Down much of the game, Wisconsin finally put its foot on the gas in the second half with a 14-4 run to pull ahead. Frank Kaminsky didn't look especially sharp, but Sam Dekker's first double-double of the year was enough to win.
On the other side stands an Arizona team that has been throttling opponents over the last two months. The Wildcats were dealt a difficult hand against an Xavier team coached by Sean Miller's former assistant, Chris Mack, but are still one of the most talented all-around teams in the country.
Ranking inside the top 25 in both points scored (76.4) and allowed (59), the Wildcats have their sights set on the Final Four. Jay Williams of ESPN believes Arizona might have what it takes to make it to the national championship game, via Mike & Mike:
Ultimately, that will be the reward for either Arizona or Wisconsin. Matching up with Kentucky isn't fun, but Notre Dame will get a crack Saturday.
The Irish are coming off one of their best outings in the Sweet 16 after handily beating the Shockers. With Jerian Grant, Zach Auguste and Pat Connaughton leading the way, Notre Dame has won eight straight games and ranks 12th in the country in scoring at 78.8 points per game.
However, the Wildcats have been the best defensive team in the tournament, as John Gasaway of ESPN.com notes:
On the year, the Irish have ranked second in the NCAA in field-goal percentage (.510), so this should be a true test of wills for Kentucky.
The Wildcats have also been an offensive juggernaut this season and proved that point again against West Virginia. Facing the top team in the country in steals, Kentucky had the ball stolen just four times and scored 78 points with deep reserves playing down the stretch.
Darren Rovell of ESPN points out how significant the blowout win was in the tournament:
Let's just say Notre Dame will have its hands full. Don't rile up the Wildcats. You wouldn't like them when they're angry.
Great matchups will be the story of the final game Saturday. With Grant facing the Harrison twins and Auguste trying to pick apart Willie Cauley-Stein and Karl-Anthony Towns, this has the makings of a memorable showdown.
However, the Wildcats seem destined for another trek to the Final Four. Only this time, the opponent will be different, as Arizona will tame Wisconsin for Miller's first trip to the promised land.
