Mayweather-Pacquiao: Kell Brook Predicts 'Easy' Win for Floyd Mayweather
Kell Brook has predicted an “easy” win for Floyd Mayweather over Manny Pacquiao on May 2 ahead of his first defence as IBF World welterweight champion on Saturday.
"Special K" is widely expected to overcome Jo Jo Dan at the Motorpoint Arena in his hometown of Sheffield and is already setting his sights on a unification fight with the winner of Mayweather-Pacquiao.
“There’ll only be me and one of them two with a belt,” Brook told BoxingNewsOnline.
“Mayweather wins it quite comfortably I believe. I think when you see the build-up to it, when you see Pacquiao with his blistering hand speed and stuff you start questioning it.
“[But] Mayweather can control pace and his timing is excellent. I think he’s too smart. I think he wins it easy.”

Brook’s stock rose dramatically when he pinched Shawn Porter’s title on points in August last year, and he has every intention of chasing the biggest fights, including Mayweather.
The well-travelled Dan is standing in his way first, though, and the Romanian has a slight reach and height advantage over Brook, according to BoxRec.
Brook was on a run of four consecutive stoppage wins before he beat Porter at the StubHub Centre in California, and he’ll be expecting to recapture that knockout form this weekend.
Dan, whose real name is Ionut Dan Ion, has two defeats on his record, both of which have come via the scorecards, and the champion accepts that the 33-year-old mandatory challenger is worthy of a shot at the title.
"He's earned his position like I did against Porter, so he gets his chance to take that title off me—but that's not happening,” Brook told Sky Sports.
The card in Sheffield also sees Doncaster’s Gavin McDonnell challenge Oleksandr Yegorov of Ukraine for the vacant European super-bantamweight title.
Frankie Gavin is also in action against Bogdan Mitic over 10 rounds in the welterweight division, while local youngster Adam Etches touches gloves with Sergey Khomitsky of Belarus at middleweight.
Sky Sports 1 HD are broadcasting the event in the UK from 7:30 p.m.
