You Know You've Made It in Sports When...
You know you’ve made it in sports when your life inspires a movie—and you’re only 13 years old. Sure, there are championships and big endorsement deals, but there are a few other, less obvious ways to determine if someone is truly legit.
By legit, we’re talking A-List. You’re not a role player or B-level person in sports. You’re a star—either on the field or in the media, or both.
Besides their athletic achievements, how can we tell these stars are for real? Let’s find out.
Scorsese (Maybe) Directs Your Biopic
1 of 12
Mike Tyson is an interesting guy, to put it mildly. Throughout his boxing career and since, he’s been the subject of significant media attention for his outbursts and crazy antics.
However, despite his status as the butt of many jokes, Tyson is legitimate. Not only is he a former heavyweight champion of the world, but Martin Scorsese is maybe, possibly directing his biopic. That is according to the film’s star, Jamie Foxx, per Entertainment Weekly.
Martin Scorsese is, you know, the Oscar winner who directed Raging Bull, among other cinematic masterpieces.
You Cruise Around in a Batmobile
2 of 12Batman is a boss, plain and simple. And Joey Logano, recently minted Daytona 500 champion, is too.
Logano, just 24 years old, was recently spotted rolling around the streets of Los Angeles with comedian Jeff Dunham in, you guessed it, a Batmobile. Dunham owns the car, and according to TMZ, he “wanted to take Joey out for a spin.”
Ronaldo’s Son Is Mesmerized by You
3 of 12
Cristiano Ronaldo is the best soccer player in the world—at least according to his two consecutive Ballon d'Or wins.
Despite that, his young son appears to be a big fan of rival Lionel Messi. At the most recent Ballon d’Or ceremony in January 2015, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. became adorably shy when his dad mentioned he should say hello to Messi. The elder Ronaldo also told Messi that his son is a fan—always talking about the Argentinian superstar.
You Can Pull off a Music Video
4 of 12Let’s face it—not all athletes can pull of a music video (looking at you, Lance Stephenson). Serena Williams however, absolutely can.
Her recent rendition Beyonce’s “7/11” is a hilarious collaboration between the tennis star and Vogue. The juxtaposition of the upbeat song with the ho-humness of the Ballen Isles Country Club is pure entertainment.
Your Life Inspires a Movie, and You're 13

Mo’ne Davis stole America’s collective heart during the 2014 Little League World Series. Now, the Disney Channel is in the works to create a film about the young athlete’s life called Throw Like Mo.
Naketha Mattocks, VP of original movies for Disney Channels , recently told Cynthia Littleton of Variety, “Mo’ne is not only a topnotch athlete in three different sports — baseball, basketball and soccer — but she is an exemplary student and someone who will remind our audiences that they can do anything with hard work, dedication and belief in themselves.”

Your Haircut Is Major News
7 of 12Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star Andrew McCutchen hasn’t had a haircut in eight years, according to Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. That all changed recently when Cutch said goodbye to his signature locks. The good news? MLB.com plans to auction off said locks to benefit Pirates Charities.
Someone Bought Your Jock on eBay

Not only can you buy Andrew McCutchen’s hair, but you can also purchase Tyler Seguin’s game-worn jock strap. Or, at least you could have, before the eBay auction ended.
Actually, it was the cup portion of the jock that was for sale—a game-used memento from Seguin’s time with the Boston Bruins. It even came with a certificate of authenticity. The expired listing shows that this item actually sold.

Your Meals Cost $1,000 a Pop
11 of 12And you can actually afford that. Floyd Mayweather is gearing up for the fight of his life, and training right means eating right. According to TMZ, Mayweather has hired a private chef to be with him 24/7 until his May 2 bout with Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather is reportedly paying Chef Q of Las Vegas around $1,000 per meal until fight night. That’s over $100,000 worth of lean protein and organic juice.

Speaking of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, it might be one of the hottest tickets in sports history, and one person is going for free.
According to Daily Mail, boxing promoter Bob Arum promised a free ticket to one person, and one person only: UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
