3 Bayern Munich Players to Watch in International Action This Week
Bayern Munich may be faced with a much-needed international break this week, but for much of the club's players, it will be business as usual as they leave Bavaria to play for their international sides across the world.
As is expected of a club the size of the German champions, the first-team roster is full of top-quality players who regularly feature for their own national teams.
Here are the three best players to keep an eye on from Pep Guardiola's squad over the course of this international break.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Although he's not playing in the colours of Bayern at the moment, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has continued to progress as a player at Augsburg and will continue to do so for his national team, Denmark, as well.
Denmark will face the United States in a glamour friendly on Wednesday night before a similar fixture against France on Sunday. The two games should show us where the midfielder is in his development.
We expect the young midfielder to thrive against the tough opposition that the U.S. and France will undoubtedly offer.
Holger Badstuber

In the latest chapter of the fantastic tale of Holger Badstuber’s return from a career-threatening injury, the Bayern defender has been called up to the German national team and may feature as a starting central defender.
At 26 years of age, the German international still has plenty of time to develop into the world-class player he was always predicted to be, offering another talent for Guardiola to fit into his side and a much-needed competent defender for Joachim Low’s leaky defence.
Let’s see if Badstuber can make the grade for Germany this week and lay down a marker for the rest of his career.
David Alaba
3 of 3
Long before David Alaba became the commanding box-to-box midfielder that he now is for Bayern, he was a left winger and defensive midfielder for his national team, Austria.
Since early 2010, the young prodigy has been playing in more attacking roles in a limited Austrian side, and through a number of performances, he has built a back catalogue of experiences that have undoubtedly helped him move into midfield for Bayern.
On Friday, Austria will take on Lichtenstein in another match that will need Alaba’s power in attack. So take note of his performances for his national team. They may end up mirroring his future at Bayern.
