WWE Superstar of the Week for March 21
This time of year is when WWE usually ramps up the excitement level as we get closer to WrestleMania, and this week saw the company lay every card on the table.
Brock Lesnar featured in a special video package, Sting appeared on Raw and spoke for the first time and Randy Orton continued to be a thorn in the side of the Authority.
Several wrestlers could have been the Superstar of the Week, but as in The Highlander, there can be only one.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Honorable Mention: Randy Orton and Seth Rollins
Randy Orton was out of the picture for several months, but after a few short weeks of RKOs, it feels like he never left.
His feud with Seth Rollins has been getting a lot of exposure since Orton turned on the Authority. Even though we have seen them do battle before, it feels like a fresh storyline.
Orton's absence has reinvigorated him in a way that no storyline could. The fans had time to miss him, and now that he's back, he looks like someone who is hungry for success again.
Rollins has been just as important to the success of this feud. These two are tailor-made for each other because they share so many of the same traits.
Rollins has a lot of the qualities that made Orton such a good heel early in his career, especially where mic skills are concerned. With Orton now able to play the role of the veteran, he can help the next generation of top stars rise to his level.
This almost feels like one of the main events of WrestleMania because of how well Orton and Rollins have sold the story. When they finally meet in the ring, it will be a contender for match of the night.
Honorable Mention: Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler
Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler were lobbying for a WrestleMania match on Twitter, but they ended up being put into the chase for the Intercontinental Championship.
While this might not be the situation they wanted, there is no denying that their involvement gives the program a new level of credibility.
The seven-man Ladder match has the potential of being the most memorable bout of the night, and guys such as Bryan and Ziggler are capable of making it happen.
When these two locked up at the end of the Gauntlet match on SmackDown, they put on the best performance of the show. Nobody else even came close.
They didn't have to do interviews or make some big show out of who won. They just went out there and raised the bar for everyone else like it was nothing.
We can only hope that Bryan and Ziggler end up in more singles matches in the future; it's pretty obvious that they would tear the house down every single night.
Honorable Mention: Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar appeared in the ring with Paul Heyman recently, but his pre-taped promo this past Monday was a far more effective way to build the main event of WrestleMania.
The thing about Lesnar is that he is vastly different when he talks in the ring and when he tapes his interviews backstage.
When he is just talking to the camera, the nuances of his performance come through. When he doesn't have Paul Heyman there to do the talking for him, he becomes a lot more interesting.
We all complain about how Lesnar needs to appear more to build his feuds, but it's almost worth it when he delivers the kind of engaging performance we saw on Monday.
Superstar of the Week for March 21: Sting
The build for Sting versus Triple H has been a slow one, but that all changed on Raw. Sting not only appeared for the first time in weeks, but he actually threw down with several members of the Authority.
When the lights went out and the sound of a crow echoed throughout the arena, we all knew what was about to happen. But when those lights came up and Sting was standing next to Randy Orton with his signature black bat, it was like WCW all over again.
Sting fighting off the Authority with an ally was just like watching him take on the entire nWo back in the day. Younger WWE fans were given a small taste of what many of us grew up watching every Monday.
Triple H has been doing a good job carrying this feud, but having Sting actually show up and hit some of his signature moves kicked things into overdrive.
WWE Network subscribers were given an additional treat in the form of Sting's first formal speech since engaging in a storyline with the COO.
This needed to happen. In order for people to become invested in this storyline, it had to be more than a reenactment of Sting's silent days in the rafters of WCW arenas.
The fact that Sting is still so over after all these years is a testament to his appeal. A few short sentences and a brawl with the Authority stole the spotlight from everything else on Raw. Superstars dream of having that kind of popularity.
Triple H deserves all the credit in the world for keeping this storyline going while Sting wasn't around, but there is nothing he could have done that would have excited the fans more than what we saw on Monday.
Their bout probably won't be the most technical or violent match at WrestleMania, but it will definitely be one of the most anticipated. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.
What do you think? Was Sting the Superstar of the Week? Who else made a big impact?
