Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Los Blancos' Summer Targets
This week's latest speculation suggests Real Madrid may look to switch their attentions in search for a new goalkeeper this summer, while the race for Juventus talisman Paul Pogba is heating up.
Chelsea's Petr Cech is being considered as a replacement for Iker Casillas, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net (h/t Metro's Lewis Rudd), with Manchester United's David De Gea proving a difficult target to lure:
"Cech, who has lost his place between the posts this season to Thibaut Courtois, is said to be considering his options as he seeks regular first-team football, although boss Jose Mourinho has recently said only a big bid will tempt him to sell the Czech Republic international.
With his current situation in mind, Madrid may well be happy to meet such a fee, which is still likely to be lower than any offer for De Gea, as they seek to give more competition to 33-year-old Casillas.

Keylor Navas was brought to the Bernabeu as competition for Casillas following his heroics at last summer's World Cup, but it seems Carlo Ancelotti is after a more elite class of goalkeeping talent.
Thibaut Courtois is clearly the established No. 1 around whom Jose Mourinho is looking to build his Stamford Bridge dynasty, leading to speculation that Cech will depart the west London outfit.

Up until now, Mourinho has been adamant to keep hold of his loyal servant, but Cech may only tolerate a second-string role for so long before wishing to re-establish his first-team worth.
Despite his drop to the bench, Cech remains a valued part of Mourinho's plans, and his manager says it would require "huge money" to take the stopper from Stamford Bridge, according to Goal's Harry West:
"He will make his decision. He's very mature to make what he feels is the best decision for him and the best decision for his future. I will just wait. I would like him very much to stay. I don't waste my time trying to persuade him, because I know nobody can persuade him.
"
If he tells me he wants to leave, I will tell him my opinion and my opinion is [that Cech is] one of the three best goalkeepers in the world. Huge money.
Cech has previously worked with Ancelotti during their time in west London together and knows that his title prospects wouldn't be dented with a move to the Spanish capital.
The 32-year-old has suggested he won't be moving to Old Trafford in any case, responding to a fan on Twitter via his personal account, per 101GreatGoals:
Whatever fee Cech would command, the figure required to lure Pogba to Madrid would be far greater, and it was confirmed on Saturday that Real are certainly in the hunt to sign Juve's superstar midfielder.
Bianconeri director Pavel Nedved has been quoted by David Amoyal of GianlucaDiMarzio.com as saying Paris Saint-Germain have already put an offer in for the 22-year-old, while Los Blancos are also confirmed as in the race to sign the Frenchman:
Fervent speculation insists Juve star Pogba is being lined up by some of Europe's biggest clubs, but the initiative shown by PSG could put pressure on Real to step up their pursuit.
Ancelotti already has a grand array of assets in central midfield and recently saw Luka Modric make his return to fitness, with Toni Kroos making a massive impact during his maiden campaign in Spain.

Juve have raised the French talisman since his arrival from Manchester United in 2012, but the options in France and Spain will offer Pogba big-money wages the likes of which Italy's giants won't be able to match.
Real are currently the reigning champions of Europe and with three Spanish teams in the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League, Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe recently dissected La Liga as arguably the strongest league in the world:
Nedved's recent revelation would suggest the continental elite are assuredly looking to make their surge on Pogba this summer, with the midfielder tipped to become a future Ballon d'Or contender.
It seems a matter of "when" and not "if" the France international leaves Turin, and Real look likely to feature as part of any potential bidding war that unravels should the giants of Europe go head-to-head for his services.
