Real Madrid Transfer News: Paul Pogba Agent Slams Los Blancos, Latest Rumours
Paul Pogba’s outspoken agent Mino Raiola has slammed reports linking the Juventus midfielder with a transfer to Real Madrid, claiming the Spanish giants discard of players too readily and his client is not interested in a move there.
Speaking with L’Equipe (h/t ESPN FC), Raiola reacted angrily to reports from earlier in the year in which Carlo Ancelotti denied an imminent bid for the 22-year-old sensation:
"If that's the case, we're not interested in Real either. I have never gone to Madrid to tell them: 'Please, would you like to buy Pogba?'
Real Madrid are a club that is used to buying players like you buy a facecloth—and then throws them away like a facecloth.
Real are a team that sees a player who has six good games at the World Cup and buys him. We don't want to go to a club like that. We want to go to a club that believes in Paul's potential. I am not closing the door to Real, but I'm not opening it either.

Pogba has been linked with a host of elite clubs in 2015 following a string of very special performances for the Bianconeri. Now, not only does the Frenchman grasp matches with an aesthetic marriage of poise and power, but he’s adding a burgeoning trait for scoring big goals for his team at vital moments.
With a host of teams interested in the player, Bleacher Report's James McNicholas looked at where the best destination for Pogba would be should he leave Juventus:
While Real have occasionally been quick to cast aside talented players should they fail to make an immediate impact, that doesn't look as though it'd be a major issue with this young star.
As already noted, Pogba is showcasing a steely mentality to complement his vast skill set and he looks as though he has the requisite mindset to flourish rather than flounder under the bright lights of the Santiago Bernabeu.

But as noted by David Amoyal of GianlucaDiMarzio.com, despite his undeniable quality, Pogba still has much to show before he can be considered an elite midfielder:
Eventually he’ll get there, but at this juncture, the Frenchman is still prone to flickering in and out of matches. Typically, when he is immersed in the game he’ll make telling contributions, but there are times when he can be an anomalous presence in the midst of a frantic contest.

With that in mind, staying at Juventus for another year would be a smart move. Pogba can continue to develop at a top club without the intense focus that would follow a transfer and the Italian giants could continue to cement their status among Europe’s elite.
But if a bid of circa £55 million was to be lodged by Real, Manchester United or Chelsea, per David Wright of the Express, the Bianconeri would surely have to think about accepting it. Especially when you consider the clutch of options available to them in that facet of the squad.
As noted by German football expert Jan Aage Fjortoft, Juve have real strength in depth in midfield:
Juve are a team on the up and look set to not only win a fourth successive Scudetto, but finally make some kind of mark in the Champions League, too. In addition, they are under no obligation to sell the player, who signed a new contract at the end of 2014 and seems to be relishing taking on a talismanic role at the heart of this team.
Real are in need of a central midfielder, and their penchant for chasing the world’s brightest young talents will surely lead them to Pogba at some point. But for the player’s sake, another year in Turin would be best for his development; if Los Blancos pursued him next summer, while Pogba may come at more of a premium, they’ll be getting a player much closer to the finished article.
