Lardarius Webb, Ravens Agree to New Contract: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction
The Baltimore Ravens and cornerback Lardarius Webb have reportedly reached an agreement on a restructured contract to free up cap space and give him some additional bonus money.
Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reports the new contract lowered Webb's compensation for next season to $6 million. He was originally slated to make $8 million. In return, he'll receive a bonus of around $3 million spread out over the next three years.
"Under the new arrangement, Webb is due to make roughly $18 million over the next three years if 62 percent playtime thresholds are reached," Wilson writes. "He's now due to make $6 million in both 2016 and 2017 if he reaches those playtime qualifies."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's the second time in as many years the Ravens and Webb have reworked the deal.
The 29-year-old defensive back battled injuries throughout last season. He made 46 tackles with eight passes defended and one interception in 13 games. For his career, he's registered over 300 tackles with 71 passes defended and 11 picks.
Getting back to full strength is the key. Clearly, the Ravens wanted to keep him in the fold despite a down year by his standards. If he can stay healthy, he should be a bargain at the lower cap number. It would help a defense that ranked 23rd against the pass last season.
The sides have worked well together over the years, which explains why Webb is now heading into his seventh season with the organization.
