Manchester United Transfer News: Arturo Vidal Comments on Fresh Rumours
Manchester Unitedโs reported pursuit of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal was one of the previous summer transfer window's sagas, but it seems the Red Devils will not be signing the Juventus star any time in the near future.
Thatโs after the player himself confirmed he is happy with his current club and has no intentions of moving elsewhere, despite rumours suggesting United may launch another bid for his services, per Las Ultimas Noticias (h/t Vaishali Bhardwaj of Metro.co.uk):
"It is hard to think about leaving Juventus when you have been crowned champions and you are part of a great team.
For any player, the most important thing is to win trophies and to become part of the clubโs history.
The people in Turin love me, I am feeling very well here and my family is feeling right at home. Why should I have any desire to leave? I am feeling extremely well at Juventus.
"
While Vidal hasnโt quite been at his sparkling best in the heart of the Bianconeri midfield this season, heโs a player who remains absolutely vital to his team flourishing.
Heโs had to adapt to a slight change in role under the tutelage of Massimiliano Allegri, as the new boss has cast aside Antonio Conteโs three-man defence in favour of a diamond system.

Itโs a move that seems to have enhanced the talent of team-mate Paul Pogba, meaning the Chilean has to play an equally important but somewhat understated role.
Indeed, as noted by BT Sportโs James Horncastle earlier in the season, the 27-year-old has failed to exert a talismanic effect comparable to seasons gone by:
With a whirlwind of rumours engulfing the Italian champions regarding the future of Pogba, and Andrea Pirlo edging ever-closer to the end of his career, Vidalโs words will come as a massive source of comfort to Juve supporters.
This is a team that boasts one of the most balanced midfields around, and for it to be deconstructed over the next couple of seasons would be a major shame.

But if United were to miss out in their reported pursuit of Pogba, per David Wright of the Daily Express, would they potentially look at tempting the Chilean to the Premier League as they look to bolster their midfield options?
Heโd certainly a fine acquisition and the kind of player who could help Louis van Gaalโs side muster a title challenge of much more credence in 2015/16.
Bleacher Reportโs Stan Collymore has some other ideas for players who could potentially expedite Unitedโs rise back to the peak of English and European football:
Vidal has all the requisite qualities needed to flourish in the Premier League and would be a massive coup for any of the divisionโs top sides. However, with Juventus dominating Serie A and looking increasingly sure-footed when it comes to the UEFA Champions League, his willingness to stick around is certainly understandable.
United do need to add some steel to their midfield and will surely be on the lookout for a multifaceted star in a similar mould to Vidal.
But after a prolonged, fruitless pursuit last summer and the playerโs public admittance that heโs not looking to move anywhere, it looks as though the ship has long sailed.
