Taylor, Raina Score Big in Auckland
Brendan Taylor's was the key contribution for Zimbabwe as they posted 287 all out against India at Eden Park—the highest total scored against the defending champions at the 2015 World Cup.
The skipper, in his final international for Zimbabwe, steadied the ship after his side had fallen to 33-3, sharing significant partnerships with Sean Williams and Craig Ervine before falling to Mohit Sharma.
Taylor's 138—his second consecutive ton—came off 110 balls with 15 fours and five sixes, and he now sits second in the rankings for runs scored at the tournament Down Under.
Suresh Raina made his own vital century as India stuttered early on in their reply. Raina came in with his side at 71-3 and was steady early on before he opened up with the victory in sight.
Ably assisted by skipper MS Dhoni, who scored 85, the pair put on an unbeaten 196 to see out the victory, which maintains India's perfect record at the tournament so far.
Raina's knock was absolutely essential with India chasing a tricky target, with his nine fours and four sixes helping him to 110 from 104 balls.
Starc Rips Through Scottish Batting
Mitchell Starc's pace and accuracy proved too much for a weak Scotland batting lineup in Hobart on Saturday as the Associate side were bowled out for just 130 inside 26 overs.
Starc dismissed Kyle Coetzer early on, the opener edging to Steve Smith at third slip for an 11-ball duck.
He then claimed the scalp of Calum MacLeod in his first four overs for 22, Scotland's other opener slashing a catch to David Warner.
Starc returned to clear up the tail as he dismissed Josh Davey and Iain Wardlaw inside three balls in his fifth over, both players clean bowled by stunning yorkers.
Starc's figures of 4-14 are the eighth best of the tournament so far, and no other bowler has more wickets than his haul of 16, which is sure to be added to in the knockout rounds.
