Klein Out for Game 5
Thursday, April 23
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reported that Klein will sit out Game 5.
Dan Rosen of NHL.com reported on April 21 that "Klein skated this morning with NYR extras and St. Louis. AV says as soon as Klein says he is good to go he will be in the lineup."
On April 17, Tom Gulitti of The Record reported that Klein didn't participate in the Rangers' practice that day. Leonard reported that Klein remained day-to-day.
On April 14, Andrew Gross of The Record reported on Klein from Rangers practice, where the defenseman was not on the ice as the team prepared for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Following the session, Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault told Rosen that Klein would not practice the next day and was unlikely to feature against Pittsburgh in Game 1.
The Rangers announced on April 7 that Klein was inching closer to a return, as he took part in the team's morning skate.
On March 12, the team officially announced, via its Twitter account, that Klein would be out for three to four weeks due to an upper-body injury. The same day, Leonard specified that Klein was dealing with an injured arm.
