The entire college basketball season is filled with speculation, but no one knows what the NCAA tournament bracket will look like until Selection Sunday.

Here is a look at the information you need to know to make sure you stay in the loop this postseason.

Who Will Get the No. 1 Seeds?

There are four No. 1 seeds given out to the best teams in college basketball, a distinction easier to figure out in some cases compared to others.

Kentucky finished the regular season 31-0 while being the dominant team throughout the season. Even a surprise loss in the SEC tournament wouldn't stop the Wildcats from being the No. 1 overall seed in March Madness.

Things get a little bit trickier from there, as Virginia opened things up with a loss to Louisville Saturday. Still, Sam Vecenie of CBS Sports believes the Cavaliers are safe:

Duke should also be in good shape thanks to some of the best wins in all of college basketball. Chad Lykins of 247Sports explained just how good the squad has been against top competition:

With road wins at Wisconsin, Louisville, Virginia and North Carolina, it's hard to argue against the resume.

The final top seed appears headed toward 29-2 Villanova, but Wisconsin, Arizona, Gonzaga and others will all try to state their case to the committee during their conference tournaments.

Which Bubbles Will Be Burst?

As much discussion as there is about the top of the bracket, there is just as much, if not more, arguing about the final few teams in the field.

Teams like Indiana, Illinois, Texas A&M, Tulsa and others will have a chance to either improve their resume during their conference tournaments or end any discussion by winning them and earning an automatic bid.

On the other hand, an early loss could make things very scary on Selection Sunday.

Every team sitting on the "bubble" has struggled at points this season and has reason for not safely being in the field. Still, they will all hope they can do enough by the end of the week to get themselves into the NCAA tournament.

How Long Can Each Team Avoid Kentucky?

With Saturday's win over Florida, Kentucky became the first major-conference team to finish with an undefeated regular season since Indiana in 1975-76.

Despite this success, the Wildcats are looking to go even further, with the goal of bringing home another title to Lexington. The shirts they wore after the game said it all.

“For us, the perfect season doesn’t matter to us,” freshman Karl-Anthony Towns said after the latest win, via Myron Medcalf of ESPN.com. “A national championship is what matters to us. That’s what our goal is.”

This is a scary thought for the rest of the nation and a major reason why seeding is so important. No one will want to play this talented team until it absolutely has to do it.

Seeding certainly matters for squads to get an open look at the Sweet 16 or Final Four, but the true question everyone will want to know is how long they can avoid Kentucky.
