Cricket World Cup 2015 Results: Full List of Match Outcomes on March 5
Scotland's chances of a first World Cup win were dashed once again on Thursday as Bangladesh chased down a target of 319 to win their Pool A clash at the 2015 World Cup in Nelson.
Kyle Coetzer scored Scotland's first World Cup century as the Saltires posted 318-8—a tournament record for an associate nation.
However, the Scots could not prevent Bangladesh chasing down the required target with 11 balls to spare, Tamim Iqbal's 95 the key contribution to a six-wicket victory.
Scotland's slim chances of making it to the quarter-finals were ended with defeat at the Saxton Oval, but Bangladesh are still on for the knockout rounds, and meet England in a key clash on Monday.
Read on for a look at the updated standings after the day's play.

Bangladesh Chase Down 319 for Vital Win over Scotland in Nelson
3 of 3
Bangladesh (322/4) bt. Scotland (318/8) by Six Wickets
Scotland's maiden World Cup century from Kyle Coetzer was not enough to prevent a fourth loss from four as Bangladesh chased down 319 to take a six-wicket Pool A victory in Nelson at the 2015 World Cup on Thursday.
Scotland can now no longer qualify for the latter stages of the tournament after the defeat, despite a spirited and record-breaking effort from the Associate side.
Opener Tamim Iqbal's 95 from 100 balls set up the Bangladeshi chase as they won the match by six wickets in the 49th over, their highest-ever run chase and the second-highest successful run chase in a World Cup game, per Cricket World Cup:
"What a game! #SCO post 318 & #BAN get there w/ 4 wickets down. Its Bangladesh's highest ever ODI chase! #BANvSCO pic.twitter.com/epT3jEcJMA

Bangladesh put Scotland into bat and picked up the wicket of Calum Macleod in the third over off the bowling of Mashrafe Mortaza.
Hamish Gardiner then fell for 19 to Taskin Ahmed in the 10th over ahead of a useful 35 from Matt Machan, who was eventually out-caught and out-bowled by Sabbir Rahman, leaving Scotland well-placed on 116-3 after 24 overs.
With Coetzer at the crease, Scotland always looked in good shape, and he put on 141 with skipper Preston Mommsen for the fourth wicket.
The 30-year-old from Aberdeen brought up three figures in some style with a six, per Cricket Scotland:
"Shot! Six! 100 for @MeerGoose11 to become the first Scotsman to score a century at a World Cup. Take a bow Kyle Coetzer. #followscotland
— Cricket Scotland (@CricketScotland) March 5, 2015"
He was not done there, though, as he became the fist Associate player to pass 150 at a World Cup, before being dismissed by Nasir Hossain for 156 in the 45th over with Scotland 269-5.
Useful late contributions from Richie Berrington and Matthew Cross saw Scotland post 318-8, which seemed like an eminently defendable total as they chased their first World Cup win.
To further the Scottish cause, Bangladesh opener Anamul Haque was unable to bat having seemingly dislocated his shoulder in the field, per Cricket World Cup:
"Bad news for #BAN. Anamul Haque made a diving save and appears to have dislocated his shoulder. He's left the field in the 31st over
— Cricket World Cup (@cricketworldcup) March 5, 2015"
It was no issue for Bangladesh, though, as after losing the early wicket of Soumya Sarkar, Iqbal and Mahmudullah put on 139 together.
Mahmudullah eventually went for 62, deflecting the ball onto his stumps with his back foot and limping off, leaving Bangladesh at 144-2 in the 24th over.
Mushfiqur Rahim's quick-fire 60 in 42 balls, along with Shakib Al Hasan's unbeaten 52 helped Bangladesh to victory, Iqbal's innings eventually ended by Josh Davey, another record-breaker in Nelson, per BBC TMS:
"Josh Davey now has 11 wickets in this WC, the most for Scotland in a @cricketworldcup, beating John Blain’s 10 in '99 pic.twitter.com/aOBjqYUfkf
— Test Match Special (@bbctms) March 5, 2015"
A crushing blow for Scotland who looked good to record a victory after a fine batting display, but Bangladesh are now looking good to qualify for the quarter-finals and take fine momentum into their match with England.
