Liverpool Transfer News: Luciano Vietto Blow, Villarreal President Denies Rumour
Villarreal supremo Fernando Roig has moved swiftly to dispel rumours that Luciano Vietto will join Liverpool in the near future.
However, the Spanish club president also revealed the player has a firm buy-out clause, suggesting a move could be triggered if the Argentine's valuation is met.
Madrid-based journalist Zarif Rasul quoted Roig's comments about the recent links to the promising striker:

Vietto has been in electric form in recent times and there is no doubt bigger clubs will be looking at the Yellow Submarine striker.
The player has 16 goals from his 31 La Liga and European matches this term, per WhoScored.com, and his reputation is starting to explode.
Vietto's agent recently noted he is fully aware of his growing star status, with Jorge Cysterpiller saying at a public event the player could move on to a top side, as reported by AS:
"We know that a lot of bug clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him. He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.
"

AS reported on Tuesday the player's release clause stood at €10 million, but Roig's fresh comments appear to heavily dispute this.
Football writer Sid Lowe recently highlighted Vietto's contributions to the Villarreal cause, naming him as one of the best players he watched last weekend:
Vietto is certainly a very exciting prospect and Liverpool need a different kind of option in their front line.
The Reds are starting to mirror their attacking football of the end of last season but Brendan Rodgers needs an additional predator to supplement Daniel Sturridge next year.
The England international's injuries have been well documented, and Liverpool have suffered in his absence, prompting the manager to assess his options for the 2015-16 campaign.
Mario Balotelli has been a disaster since his arrival from Serie A, and the 21-year-old Vietto would be a sensibly priced replacement for the languid forward.
Vietto would also be a shrewd investment, and a couple of great seasons at Anfield might see his valuation potentially rocket.
