The outlook of the NFL draft is constantly changing, and that will hold especially true over the next week.
With prospects set to show off their athletic gifts at the combine in Indianapolis, many draft boards and mock drafts will undergo major makeovers.
Before that happens, let's take a look at how the first round currently stands, along with an in-depth glance at the top of arguably the deepest position in the draft.

Top Edge-Rushers
Randy Gregory, Nebraska
Randy Gregory is easily one of the most intriguing prospects in the first round. There is a considerable amount of risk that comes with taking him in the top five, which is where he is expected to go, but if he lives up to his talent, he's a game-changer.
First the bad. With a 6'6", 240-pound frame, he is lean and could struggle to contain the run effectively. Moreover, as Bleacher Report's Matt Miller reported, teams have expressed concern about his level of effort on the field:
Ultimately, though, his physical tools are just too much to overlook.
A freakish athlete, Gregory has the long arms, explosiveness, speed and bend to be an unstoppable pass-rusher if he refines his game. His potential is so high, he has drawn comparisons to Aldon Smith, who recorded 33.5 sacks in his first two NFL seasons:
Gregory has showcased the versatility to be a 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker, but many people believe he's better suited as the latter. That would make him a target for the Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins and New York Jets inside the top six.
Washington, which needs more playmakers on defense and might lose Brian Orakpo to free agency, is a logical destination at No. 5.
Dante Fowler, Florida

Gregory was seen as the top edge-rusher for most of the 2014 season, but Dante Fowler is starting to slowly pass him on pundits' draft boards. CBS Sports' Dane Brugler is among that group:
At first glance, Fowler was underwhelming in college, recording just 14.5 sacks in 37 career games. But that hardly paints a complete picture of his impact, as the 6'3", 260-pound monster lined up all over the Gators front-seven, creating constant backfield disruption without recording sacks.
"He's had to play at different weights and different spots on the field, and I think he's finally understanding how to use his athleticism to dominate a game," said an AFC East scout, via NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "He will be way better in the pros than what he is now."
Fowler has an alluring blend of speed, power and aggression, but he combines that with a relentless motor. The Falcons, who finished 31st in sack percentage, would be ecstatic to get him at No. 8.
Shane Ray, Missouri

Shane Ray will be one to watch at the combine.
The SEC Defensive Player of the Year, according to NFL.com's Mike Huguenin, runs a 4'4" 40, has a vertical of 42 inches and bench-presses a ridiculous 430 pounds.
There are some concerns about his size, but if Ray puts up those kind of numbers in Indianapolis, his stock is likely to see a major bump. If not, it won't do anything to change the fact he is still a rare athletic specimen who has the unfair advantage of being shot out of a cannon at the snap:
Ray has the potential to help the New York Giants move on from free-agent Jason Pierre-Paul. That is, if he's still available at that point.
