Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: NBA DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for Feb. 2
Don't be that guy. No need to outsmart yourself here, daily fantasy basketball 2015 player. Use these NBA DraftKings ideal lineup picks for Monday, Feb. 2.
Eschewing this advice would be like passing the ball from the 1-yard line in the final minute of the Super Bowl when you have a running back that goes Beast Mode. See what we did there?
There is a pretty full slate of eight NBA games on the calendar, including a Memphis Grizzlies at Phoenix Suns contest that should be fantasy-friendly to cap the night off near the land of the Super Bowl.
PG Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,700)
Irving is a better play when LeBron James ($10,600) is resting, but against the Philadelphia 76ers, we probably shouldn't expect James to play with much enthusiasm. He might take a breath here and leave the game in Irving's capable hands. The Cavs are facing a 76ers team that is 23rd at DraftKings against point guards, and Michael Carter-Williams has been dealing with ankle issues of late.
Bad time to be playing an ankle-breaking guard for MCW. Good time for us in daily fantasy.
- Brandon Knight, Milwaukee Bucks ($7,200)
- Jarrett Jack, Brooklyn Nets ($6,700)
SG Monta Ellis, Dallas Mavericks ($7,500)
Rajon Rondo (face) has already been ruled out for Monday, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, which is great news for Ellis owners. You saw what Ellis could do when Rondo went down, piling up 13 assists, 25 points and three steals Saturday night. Ellis should be productive against a Minnesota Timberwolves team that is dead-last against point guards at DraftKings. Ellis might be the play of the night.
- Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards ($5,900)
- Kevin Martin, Minnesota Timberwolves ($5,100)
SF Jerami Grant, Philadelphia 76ers ($3,000)
We are suggesting you go with some big-ticket items, perhaps even the Cavs' James ($10,600), so here is daily fantasy's basement pick of the night. Grant has been getting more and more minutes, and proving more and more worthy of the time. He should pick up some garbage-time points against the Cavs here, deserving closer to 30 minutes than his usual 20-25. Grant is a rookie with a tremendous ceiling, as the NBA and the 76ers are finding out.
- Jared Dudley, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,100)
- P.J. Tucker, Phoenix Suns ($4,300)
- Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks ($5,300)
PF Kris Humphries, Washington Wizards ($4,600)
Sure, Nene Hilario ($4,900) is back in the starting lineup, but Humphries was great off the bench with Hilario starting last time out. Humphries can still approach 30 minutes and 30 DraftKings points like he has trumped in three of the past four games. No, you're not getting a potential 40-point guy, but you are not breaking the bank with the price here either. Consistency is well worth the cost of $4,600.
- Markieff Morris, Phoenix Suns ($6,000)
- Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,700)
C Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets ($6,000)
It has become painfully obvious the 26-year-old Lopez deserves the minutes over the 38-year-old Kevin Garnett ($3,000), who got just nine minutes Saturday. Lopez erupted for 35 points and is the hot hand, teaming with Mason Plumlee in the Nets frontcourt. Lopez will need to help Plumlee bang it up against Blake Griffin ($9,600) and DeAndre Jordan ($7,800) for the Los Angeles Clippers. Garnett just cannot keep up anymore.
- Timofey Mozgov, Cleveland Cavaliers ($5,000)
- Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies ($7,800)
