Alabama's 2015 National Signing Day Wish List
It’s a problem most schools would love to have.
Because of the allure of playing for Alabama, Nick Saban and his staff’s recruiting prowess and the national nature of recruiting, the Crimson Tide’s recruiting classes are nearly finished by the time January rolls around and the final push begins for most schools.
National signing day is largely uneventful in Tuscaloosa, more a day of celebration than one of wall-to-wall nerves while watching announcements. There are usually one or two surprises to be sure, but that’s fairly mild compared to the anxiety around the country.
That’s looking like it’ll be the case once again.
The Crimson Tide already have 26 commitments for their 2015 class, which puts them at No. 1 in the country as it stands now.
But there are still a few in play who could make things interesting between now and February 4. Who and what are left on Alabama’s wish list for national signing day?
CeCe Jefferson
Alabama’s top remaining target is also one of the top uncommitted players in the country.

CeCe Jefferson, a 5-star defensive end, is rated the No. 7 overall player in the country and the No. 2 strong-side defensive end. He would add another monster on Alabama’s already loaded defensive front.
And while Alabama is considered an outside favorite, stranger things have happened. For now, he’s enjoying the attention.
"If he has made his mind up, he will wait till signing day for sure," Tom McPherson, Jefferson’s coach at Baker County Senior High School, told AL.com’s Drew Champlin. "The more people say that somebody's No. 1 or No. 2, the more he likes it.
"I think everything's still pretty status quo. He's going to announce on signing day. This last week is going to be important for all these schools to make their last pitches to him to see how they can swing things in their favor."
Jefferson’s announcement will be one of the few for Alabama fans to watch on signing day.
K.J. Hill
With Alabama losing its top three wide receivers, Saban and his staff are looking to a pair of receivers, even with 5-star Calvin Ridley already committed.

K.J. Hill, from North Little Rock, Arkansas, recently decommitted from the Razorbacks, opening the door for Alabama to make a late push.
Since then, the 4-star receiver has taken an official visit to Alabama, per Champlin, and came away impressed, with his stepfather Montez Peterson calling it “mind-blowing.”
Hill will decide among Alabama, Ohio State, Arkansas and Ole Miss.
Alabama is also after 4-star Daylon Charlot from Peterson, Louisiana. The Crimson Tide are, of course, battling with LSU for his signature.
247Sports’ Crystal Ball currently projects Alabama with a 58 percent edge over the Tigers.
Can Alabama pull another top recruit out of LSU’s backyard?
Chidi Valentine-Okeke
The 4-star offensive tackle was already supposed to have made up his mind. Chidi Valentine-Okeke was set to announce his decision Monday on Fox Sports South’s “The NEW College Football Show: Next Class 2015” but got cold feet.

So the wait continues.
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU are all in the mix for the offensive tackle originally from Nigeria.
“They’re all great schools,” Valentine-Okeke said during the show, per 247Sports’ Keith Niebuhr. “They all have good academics, good football programs. This has to do with me and my God. I always pray to my God to direct me. … I have to give myself a little bit of time and ask God to direct me.”
He doesn’t like the spotlight as much as other recruits, though.
"Everybody who has been in my shoes as a 5-star player goes through this process," Valentine-Okeke said, per AL.com’s Wesley Sinor. "Every school is telling you they need you. 'Come to our school, we love you,' stuff like that. It's hard. I know I'm not the first person who ever felt this.
"I'm a big recruit and get all these phone calls all the time. Sometimes I wish I was a 1-star."
Terry Godwin
While 5-star athlete/wide receiver Terry Godwin is committed to Georgia, Alabama is still trying to change his mind.

In their push for wide receivers, Saban and Co. have gone hard after Godwin, from Hogansville, Georgia. But Saban isn’t the only one.
Godwin made an official visit to Alabama over the weekend and had current UA commits in his ear, per al.com’s Champlin.
"I definitely think he's got to have [playing at Alabama] at least somewhere in his mind," Alabama commit Keaton Anderson, a linebacker from Florence, said per Champlin. "I think he had an unbelievable visit. I think he enjoyed it. I think he loved every second of it. But Georgia's a great school and it's hard to turn down. He's going to do great things no matter what choice he makes."
Alabama has made shockwaves on national signing day before flipping a major commit. Godwin could be next.
