Rob Chudzinski Named Colts Associate Head Coach: Latest Details and Reaction
It turns out that Rob Chudzinski's days in Indianapolis will continue. The Colts have agreed to terms with the veteran coach and given him a promotion for good measure.
According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Chudzinski's new title with the Colts will be associate head coach after spending last year as a special assistant.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport noted it's a one-year deal and added additional insight behind the move:
The Colts released an official statement about Chudzinski re-signing on their website, which includes this quote from head coach Chuck Pagano: “We’re excited to keep Chud in our family. He’s been a critical part of our operation and we’re looking forward to sharing even more success in the future.”
There was speculation, as noted by Breer, that Chudzinski was in the mix to be an offensive coordinator in San Francisco or St. Louis.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Chudzinski would have been able to speak with the 49ers and Rams on Tuesday before this deal with Indianapolis came about:
"Colts asst to the HC, Rob Chudzinski, is eligible to interview for OC jobs starting Tuesday. 49ers and Rams both want to talk to him.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 26, 2015"
With Chudzinski on board in Indianapolis, the 49ers and Rams will have to explore other options. Given how long those two teams have waited to hire anyone, it's clear how much they wanted to at least speak with him about job.
For the Colts, they get to keep one of the best offensive minds in the league. As great as Andrew Luck is, it doesn't seem like an accident that he set a career high with 4,761 passing yards and 40 touchdowns. With one year under their belts, look for more growth from this potent offense in 2015.
