Georgia Football: Bulldogs' 4 Most Underrated Recruits of 2015
There is one week left until national signing day, and the Georgia Bulldogs look to be in good shape in terms of the quality of recruits that will arrive in Athens this fall.
Many fans that follow recruiting know the names Trenton Thompson and Terry Godwin, as they are players that are expected to make an impact right away. Then there are the players that enrolled early such as Jonathan Ledbetter and Natrez Patrick that also look to do damage in 2015.
The Bulldogs have 26 players committed to the 2015 signing class (via 247 Sports), and there’s a chance they could finish with a top-five signing class. But out of the 26 recruits, who are the players that haven’t got as much attention but could be great players in Athens sooner rather than later?
Here’s a look at the Bulldogs’ four most underrated recruits of 2015.
Sage Hardin

Sage Hardin (3-star recruit via 247 Sports) committed to the Bulldogs back in June, and he was able to focus on helping his high school become one of the better teams in the state of Georgia in 2014.
Hardin, who is a 6’6", 270-pound offensive tackle, will not be the biggest, strongest or fastest offensive lineman the Bulldogs will have on the roster in the fall. But he has great feet, is quick off the ball and most importantly, he can excel at run blocking.
Hardin has gotten lost in the shuffle because of this class being heavy in skill players and defenders. But Hardin’s work ethic and discipline will take him very far with the Bulldogs.
Shaquery Wilson

One of the more interesting recruits the Bulldogs have is Shaquery Wilson from Coral Gables, Florida. Wilson, who is 6’3" and 200 pounds, has elite speed and can play either safety or wide receiver.
247 Sports only has him listed as a 3-star recruit, but this is the type of player that can see action right away, especially on special teams.
However, with Damian Swann no longer on the roster, Wilson could see a lot of time on defense because the Bulldogs are always looking for young talent in the secondary, despite him not being a true cornerback.
Jarvis Wilson
3 of 5
Standing at 6’2" and 197 pounds, Wilson is not the best tackling safety, and he does not have elite closing speed. But he has great ball skills and has great instincts.
Wilson, who is a 3-star recruit, according to 247 Sports, won’t be a guy that competes for a starting safety job right away because the spots are already secured by Quincy Mauger and Dominick Sanders. But with him learning the system early, there is no reason he can’t be a part of the rotation this fall.
Juwuan Briscoe
4 of 5
One of the things Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt has done a great job over the years is getting great recruits outside the pipeline such as Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno. It looks like he has done it again this year with the addition of cornerback Juwuan Briscoe from Waldorf, Maryland.
Briscoe is a 3-star recruit, according to 247 Sports, but he played at a five-star level at Thomas Stone High School. As a running back he rushed for over 1,000 yards, and as a cornerback he was able to pick off four passes. He only had four receptions come through his zone in total.
Briscoe could be one of those guys that could be one of the top players on Mel Kiper’s Big Board by 2018.
Who Has the Best Chance to Play Right Away?
5 of 5
So the question now is out of the four players that are listed, who has the best chance to play right away?
Odds are Briscoe could be the guy that sees the most action. This is nothing against Hardin or both Wilsons, but Briscoe has a chance to compete at cornerback because that’s an open position, and he’s a guy that has the speed and ball skills to also play on offense.
The reality of the situation is the Bulldogs have a talented class, and the expectations for them will be high in 2015. And if they are able to do the things the 2014 class was able to achieve last season, the Bulldogs will have another season where they win at least 10 games and have a chance to play for the SEC title.
