Texas Longhorns' 2015 National Signing Day Wish List
The Texas Longhorns are coming down the final stretch of the recruiting trail. The Longhorns currently rank as the No. 10 recruiting class, according to Rivals.com. But the homestretch could see Texas' ranking much higher, if things go as planned.
Texas has a number of recruits on the hook who could either make or break the Longhorns' recruiting class in 2015.
Where do the Longhorns stand with some of the nation's top recruits? Let's take a look.
QB Kyler Murray

In one of the more interesting turn of events, the Longhorns appear to be in the mix for 4-star quarterback Kyler Murray. The talented dual-threat QB has been verbally committed to Texas A&M since July, but he shocked the recruiting world when he posted a picture of a Texas uniform on his Twitter page during a hush-hush visit to Austin.
Murray's photo surprised many recruiting analysts in the state of Texas. Does this mean Murray will be headed to Austin? Not exactly.
Even though he posted the picture, he still is verbally committed to the Aggies. The Longhorns coaching staff has one week to get face-to-face with Murray and try to convince him to flip his commitment to Texas.
Getting Murray to Austin will not be an easy task, but it also is not as far-fetched as most people would have thought even a few weeks ago.
The Longhorns are in desperate need of a quarterback in the 2015 class, especially since longtime verbal commit Zach Gentry announced he has decommitted from Texas and will be attending Michigan.
Murray's decision could make a huge impact on the Longhorns' 2015 recruiting class and on the future of the program.
DT Daylon Mack

Gladewater defensive tackle Daylon Mack is another prospect who has stunned the Longhorn nation in recent weeks. The 4-star DT took a surprise official visit to Texas last weekend, after earlier saying he had no intention of taking an official visit to Austin.
Mack was previously committed to Texas A&M but opened up his commitment in December. He later released his top two schools: LSU and TCU.
Somewhere along the line, Strong and Co. have made an impact on the talented defensive lineman. But can the Longhorns finish strong with Mack?
Mack was not afraid to throw up the "Hook 'em Horns" sign with current Texas Longhorns and longtime friend Malik Jefferson. One could argue Jefferson was leading the charge over the weekend in attempting to get Mack to commit to his school.
This commitment will likely go to national signing day, but the Longhorns getting Mack on campus was a positive step toward bringing him on the team.
RB Soso Jamabo
3 of 6
Soso Jamabo is a 5-star prospect, and not only is he one of the top running backs, but he also has one of the coolest names in the 2015 class.
Jamabo, who has seen his stock soar after an incredible senior season, rushed for 2,279 yards and 44 touchdowns in 2014. He has narrowed his choices down to Texas and UCLA, and many feel if some of the other remaining offensive targets choose the Longhorns, Jamabo will follow suit.
With the departure of Malcolm Brown and with Johnathan Gray having only one season of eligibility remaining, Jamabo would give the Longhorns much-needed depth and would battle for playing time in 2015.
WR DaMarkus Lodge
4 of 6
The Longhorns' 4-star target DaMarkus Lodge is considered by many to be the best wide receiver in the state, and one of the top nationwide.
In the last two seasons, he has 2,473 yards receiving and 47 touchdowns. He is the type of wide receiver the Longhorns need to help jump-start an offense that struggled in 2014.
Lodge, who has offers from all over the country, would be a perfect fit to replace recently departed John Harris. Both are 6'2" and have the ability to leap over defenders and make big plays.
With the quarterback turmoil on the 40 acres, a big possession receiver like Lodge could be a quarterback's new best friend.
QB Kai Locksley
5 of 6
Anyone who has watched the Longhorns play for the last few years knows that the quarterback position is one of the most important on the field.
Florida State commit Kai Locksley visited the Longhorns last weekend, and the visit apparently made an impact on the 4-star recruit.
Locksley tweeted the following after his visit:
"Just finished my meeting with Coach Watson and Strong. Really enjoyed myself in ATX. Time to get home and thinks things through!"
If Locksley commits to Texas, he will be filling a massive void for the Longhorns.
CB Holton Hill
6 of 6
Holton Hill, a 4-star defensive back, is one of the top remaining cornerbacks in the state of Texas. He finished the 2014 season with 11 interceptions, one punt return for a touchdown and a kick return for a touchdown.
He’s a playmaker, and at 6’2", he has the size to match up with just about any receiver. Hill, who has visited both the Longhorns and the Aggies recently, is considered by most to be a Longhorn lean.
The Longhorn secondary is losing starters Quandre Diggs and Mykkele Thompson. Hill would compete to be a first-year starter, and he would almost certainly make the two-deep and could also be a playmaker on special teams.
