Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Andre Schurrle and Raheem Sterling Rumours
Andre Schurrle's star has somewhat waned since he set up Mario Gotze's World Cup-winning goal in the summer.
The German forward continues to play second fiddle at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, the 24-year-old having started just five Premier League games this season, per WhoScored.com.
Schurrle is now being linked with a move to Wolfsburg, with Sky Sports reporting he wants the switch. But B/R UK's Alex Dimond suggests below that Chelsea may want to hang on to him for a little longer:

Indeed, the Blues are reportedly not prepared to let him go easily if at all, with the Sky Sports piece quoting a valuation of at least £22.5 million.
Wolfsburg are reportedly eager to do business, though, with a potential option seeing Schurrle move to the Bundesliga club on loan initially ahead of a full-time switch in the summer, per The Guardian's Dominic Fifield.
Fifield also suggests Schurrle will sit out of Chelsea's Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Tuesday, a further indication that his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered.
Schurrle has shown occasional brilliance since moving to Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen for £18 million in 2013—and he was excellent as an impact substitute in Brazil for Germany—but football writer Rafael Hernandez believes he would benefit from a return to the Bundesliga:
He is a hugely talented player but is seemingly not in Mourinho's first-team plans; thus he may well wish to move on to a club where he can be guaranteed more starting football.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are reportedly eyeing what would be a shock move for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling after the Englishman rejected a new contract offer from the Reds.
According to Ben Jefferson in the Express, the Blues are "on alert" following Sterling's rejection of renewed terms worth £70,000 a week, with Real Madrid also interested in the talented 20-year-old.

While Jefferson suggests Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is confident Sterling will eventually sign new terms, such has been the England international's value to the Anfield outfit this season, they may be forced to go beyond the £100,000-a-week mark.
Otherwise, Sterling may be tempted by a switch to Chelsea or Real, who could likely afford to remunerate him extremely well while also offering the chance to win titles and Champions League crowns.
Any imminent move for Sterling to Stamford Bridge seems highly unlikely, although a future switch is certainly not out of the question, as Mourinho is no doubt an admirer of the Liverpool forward's skillful play.
