USC Football's 2015 National Signing Day Wish List
National signing day is just a little more than a week away, and USC football is looking to finish the recruiting season with a splash.
The Trojans' final push to Feb. 4 began Friday with the commitment of 5-star linebacker Osa Masina.

B/R's Tyler Donohue writes Masina should be a significant playmaker for USC. Furthermore, it's unlikely Masina is the final highly-touted piece head coach Steve Sarkisian is adding to the 2015 recruiting class.
Finishing up a lofty recruiting wish list with a few more high-profile commitments should make for a national signing day worth celebrating at USC.
Plant Another Flag in Utah

USC's geographic recruiting footprint tends to extend from coast-to-coast but is most-heavily imprinted in Pac-12 country.
The state of Utah felt that impact with Masina's commitment Friday and could once more if the Trojans land 4-star linebacker Porter Gustin.
Gustin visited USC the weekend of Jan. 16, according to 247Sports, and dropped in on the Trojans' Pac-12 South counterpart Arizona State this past weekend.

However, 247Sports' Crystal Ball panelists overwhelmingly favor USC in the pursuit of Gustin—at 100 percent, to be exact.
By adding the Salem Hills High School (Salem, Utah) product immediately after signing Brighton High School's (Salt Lake City) Masina, USC will have announced its presence in the burgeoning recruiting hotbed of Utah loudly and clearly.
More Recruiting Riches from the Junipero Serra Pipeline

Sarkisian and his staff are evidently adhering to the old adage, "If ain't broke, don't fix it."
The pipeline between Gardena, California, prep powerhouse Junipero Serra High School and USC is strong, having produced Trojans standouts like Robert Woods, Marqise Lee and, most recently, Adoree' Jackson.
USC could hit paydirt at Serra once again—twice.
Four-star linebacker John Houston and 5-star defensive tackle Rasheem Green—both Serra products—are prominent on USC's final recruiting wish list.
USC is a favorite to land the Serra dynamic duo. The outlook for Houston seems especially promising after Sunday's West Coast Bowl.

As for the type of playmaker the Trojans would get from Houston, his statistics Sunday tell the story.

Another Dual-Threat Prospect

On the topic of talent-rich, Southern California prep pipelines, Long Beach Polytechnic High School regularly produces top-tier recruits. Last year for USC, it was wide receiver John "JuJu" Smith.
This year, the Trojans are looking to add Iman Marshall to the mix.
Marshall is the nation's top-ranked cornerback and a 5-star overall recruit. Should he sign with USC, Marshall could have an instant impact in a young secondary.
However, Marshall can also be a dynamic playmaker on offense, in much the same vein that 2014 signee Jackson crossed over.
No. 2 National Finish

It's not a coincidence that amid USC's run of dominance in the 2000s, the Trojans were also dominant on the national recruiting scene.
Sarkisian has made it clear that his goal as head coach is to return USC football to that pinnacle in short order. Doing so on the field means regaining the prowess it once exhibited during recruiting season.
This year's class is beginning to do just that, and the Trojans are not finished.
While Alabama stockpiled enough talent early in the process to firmly establish its recruiting class as the nation's No. 1—again—USC can reach No. 2 for its best final ranking since 2007.
Currently, USC is at No. 3. Hitting on the remainder of its wish list would likely assure the Trojans that No. 2 spot.
